Meghan McCain says in a new interview that sketches performed on "Saturday Night Live" mocking her during her stint on ABC's "The View" made her feel like she was "the laughing stock of the country."
"I think partly 'Saturday Night Live' parodies have this way of becoming reality. I’ve seen it so many times with Sarah Palin, Hillary Clinton. The stereotypes of who you are become true. Bush being an idiot. I still think Alex Trebek is someone who celebrities hated. Sometimes the parody is the person, and I think that probably played a factor, too," McCain said during a question-and-answer session with Rolling Stone promoting her new audiobook. "People really loved it when 'SNL' dunked on me, and it was not flattering or kind. And, by the way, they were pretty nice to the rest of the ['View'] cast, just not great to me."

I never saw her parodied on SNL. I don’t watch the show. I did watch (on YouTube) the parodies of the debates, and I thought Woody Harrelson nailed Biden, Kate McKinnon nailed Elizabeth Warren, etc.. I’m hard pressed to believe, though, that anyone could’ve captured the calumny of Hillary Clinton or that it could even be parodied. In other words, a parody of Clinton could only make her seem more likeable, not less.

Megs is shooting herself in the foot here. The classy way to handle this would be to ignore it or laugh at it. This is 4th-grade playground 101. If you cry when someone is making fun of you, they win. But perhaps she never learned that lesson.
I’m a very infrequent SNL viewer these days, but I’ve never seen a single “View” sketch involving her. I bet a lot of other folks haven’t either and are now tempted to seek them out to wonder what they did to her that got under her skin to this extent.
Self inflicted wounds
It is so sad when people kiss up to liberals and then they turn on you(and they always do). Hopefully this will make her reflect on their true nature and she can find some conservative friends that won’t make fun of her.

You’re right. I did just that. I saw 1 skit and I realized that I haven’t ever watched The View either to be able to evaluate how accurate the portrayal was, but the mannerism were spot on.
