Well, now! Maybe with all those Chinese goodies off-shore maybe this will be the best Christmas in over a generation. Homemade decorations, singing in the neighborhoods, wishing each other Christmas greetings, laughter and a return to church. Christmas Eve worship services are the most beautiful and heart-tugging of any.

It’s California’s hostility to the owner operator business model + stringent regulations on the big rigs that are allowed to operate in the state. At the same time, we’ve shut down and exported our manufacturing base; we’re more dependent than ever on oversees manufacturing.

There’s no one single lever to pull.

There would be if it opened a trap door for a gallows where all the leftist ruling class was standing with a noose around their necks.

I have to laugh. A month ago, flew over the LA harbor area on my way to Arizona.

The huge number of ships sitting offshore looked like one of those WWII invasion fleet pictures. Calif has dug it’s own grave with stifling regulations.

Anyone picked up anything lately that does not have the Calif Prop 65 warnings on it?

Trump would have fixed this 8 months ago

If we hadn't allowed the ChiComs to release their biological weapon and react so severely, a lot in this country wouldn't have needed fixing.

(Some 200,000 shipping containers remain on ships off the coast, he added.)

Darn. Global Warming strikes again.

Oh and Covid-19 of course. 🤪

We are being told that shipping delays are actually a sign of how well things are going—people have so much money that they’re ordering stuff like crazy. We are also told that the problems show the critical need to pass Brandon’s infrastructure bills. I find it curious that these problems with the ‘infrastructure’ only reared their heads in the last 10 months or so.

Also we are told that going into a store and expecting full shelves is a sign that we have been really ‘spoiled’ over the last 7 decades and that just have to get used to waiting a while to get the stuff we want. You know like they do in Cuba or Venezuela.

We are also told that it is raining, when they are clearly pissing on our shoes.

One might think that we are leaving those ships out there on purpose. If the ships stay their, they can’t go back and forth. We can’t pay the chinese. Their money issues grow. Nobody is sure if we are at war or not. They did this to us and the Aussies. So is this real or is this warfare???

Phillip Sanfield, director of media relations for the port, noted that although the Port of Los Angeles now operates on a 24/7 schedule, its terminals remain closed between 3 a.m. and 8 a.m. The terminals are privately owned and operated.

Longshoremen unions have resisted a lot of efforts to automate many of these processes.

Additionally, many warehouses are full with not enough employees working to empty them.

When a truck pulls up to an full warehouse and nobody to unload anything or anywhere to put it, the trucker has no choice but to unhook his trailer and leave it there which means the trucking industry is now short an empty trailer and cargo container that it could put back in to use.

It's an ugly mess all the way around.

We need the darn truckers.

I have a better idea. Let's make the stuff here again.

If California doesn't want the stuff trucked in, that's more selection and lower prices for the rest of us.

“Think about the toys, the other Christmas product, and parts and components for factories.”

Think about all the junk. Components for factories? I would build a factory with chinajunk. Maybe there's a ship or three from Europe. We should be building our own aftermarket auto parts and you can't get parts for chinajunk and we don't have chinese made cars.

Voters in CA had their shot at Newscum but apparently enjoy being fiscally sodomized by one party rule instead
