Colin Powell, 84, died Monday morning due to complications from Covid-19.
Powell was fully vaccinated against the virus, his family said in a statement.
Powell was elderly, a known risk for severe Covid, and suffered from multiple myeloma, a blood cancer that studies show can make the shots less effective.
A study published in late July found that only 45% of patients with active multiple myeloma developed an "adequate" immune response after getting vaccinated with either the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna vaccines.
Just 22% of patients in the study had a "partial" response....
Offit said fully vaccinated people with weak immune systems should also continue to wear masks and social distance indoors.

Not any such argument. Multiple myeloma is a cancer of a critical part of the immune system. People with MM succumb to pathogens on a regular basis. COVID is much harder on people with a list of comorbid conditions including autoimmune diseases. Multiple myeloma is basically a cancer of the immune system which causes comorbid autoimmune diseases. Besides MM, Colin Powel also had Parkinson’s disease. With Covid, Powell had three comorbid diseases.

Exactly, there is no effort by the CDC to determine the exact cause of death in any covid cases. It is all due to Covid regardless of anything, does not matter if vaxed.
The vaccine risks are irrelevant because the cause of death is covid.
That being said, sometime it is going to register on some non brain dead liberals that there are no lesser symptoms if you die because of covid while vaxed.

Thank you. It is hard when everyone else tells you to get the shot cause you got cancer and it’s a good thing and will protect you. And then tells you you doctor may be wrong, maybe get a second opinion on the vax. Meanwhile my doc has been treating me before and through covid and I trust her. And then I have no idea what to do with the mandate crap.
It’s like leave me alone already.
There were certainly things in some of his decisions to which many of us could object.
What bothers me is that so many people here have so little grace and respect that they don’t even allow someone to go cold and be in the ground before they condemn.
People here are always promoting respect for Life; but I think respect for Death, and for the fact that every one of us will face it, is just the other side of the same coin.
