U.S. District Judge Royce C. Lamberth is holding D.C. Jail Warden Wanda Patten and D.C. Department of Correction Director Quincy Booth in contempt of court, accusing them of ‘inexcusable’ delays in providing medical treatment to prisoner Chris Worrell, who is accused of partaking in the January 6 Capitol Hill riot.
‘American Greatness’ writer Julie Kelly live-tweeted the hearing and the resulting action by the judge.
“Judge Lamberth just found the DC Jail Warden and DC DOC Director in contempt of court for refusing to turn over requested documents related to care for cancer-stricken J6 detainee,” she wrote. “Says civil rights are being violated at the jail, will refer to Attorney General office. FINALLY!!”

Reagan judge.
He’ll refer this to the Attorney General, you say? Gosh. You mean the one investigating parents for speaking out at school board meetings? That attorney general? Well, gosharootiroo. I’m sure he’ll see that justice is done./s
Because it is such an egregious and life threatening civil rights violation, at a minimum the prisoners should be released from their custody.
Worse than that time in 1971 when the Weather Underground detonated a bomb at the Capitol? That was some kind of trespassing, alright./s
I don't know. More and more I'm getting the impression that even old leftists are sick of the inept old leftists trying to run the government. They're spoiling "the brand."
The inmates are to receive Taco Tuesdays from now on.
So what? This judge denied bail to Worrell earlier this month. He’s not interested in ‘civil rights’ he’s only upset because someone didn’t comply with his request. If he were truly concerned about civil rights, he would have allowed this man to bail out of the gulag.
My thoughts exactly. Garland is on this ? No Confidence
You are showing a moronic ignorance of both facts and history. You have shown yourself to be a person without scruples or morality or even a smidgen of honesty, or intelligence.
Keep on wearing that mask, and be sure get your clot shot.
(If you meant to indicate sarcasm I humbly apologize, but I can’t read your thoughts aside from what you wrote.)
He’s one of the few good ones.
So Lamberth is saying one detainee with cancer should get medical attention, but he is not bothered by the inhumane imprisonment of hundreds of others for 9 or 10 months?
His sarcasm was apparent to me.
Well maybe this judge needs to grant him bond immediately so heCan get good treatment. The only reason he is sitting in jail is because this idiot judge allows it.
One of the good guys? Is that why he’s holding him in jail with no bond for nearly a year? The hell with him. He’s as bad as any other swamper.
The leftist government is not holding them in prison. That specific judge is! He could order him released with no bond immediately if he wanted.
The DC prison isn’t a fit place to be keeping these people.
Where was Trump, when he could have pardoned people?
