China is much weaker in reality than their bluster.

Trying to do with saber rattling what they wish without war. They hope Taiwan will just “Give In” and sign a Hong Kong like agreement. It will not work. BUT things are moving ahead quickly and in the end, China will win the day without WW III or the USA doing a thing. It will be Kabul, Part Two. But first—China needs the USA to be distracted with a new 9-11 or Civil War, or real insurrection. Maybe a new “Pandemic” for the election in November? They will hit us with Proxies (Islamic Terrorists) Say sneak a bomb across the border and take out Houston, Texas? Let Iran/ Isis K or what have you take the credit. While we go nuts, they grap Taiwan.

Sun Tzu: "All warfare is based on deception. Hence, when able to attack, we must seem unable; when using our forces, we must seem inactive; when we are near, we must make the enemy believe we are far away; when far away, we must make him believe we are near."
Hence, if the Chinese are broadcasting their intent to attack, you can bet that they have no intention of doing so. Sabre-rattling against foreign foes is usually done in China when the domestic situation is dire.

I’ve heard from people in-country that they expect China to take them over. And they are not happy about it.
I suspect they hate Slow-Joe for it too

It showed a video of soldiers in small boats storming a beach, throwing smoke grenades, breaking through barbed wire defenses and digging trenches in the sand.

Once the few of the fleet that made it ashore, what did they do with the mine fields, battery arty and machine gun fire, how did they avoid the incoming cluster munitions. How many survived in the first wave?

China has a lot of internal problems, COVID rise, flooding, power grid issues, shipping goods, etc... A war would be a good distraction for them with the added bonus of all the industry in Taiwan (world’s most important semiconductor country).
And it is relatively free, Biden doesn’t have a spine. Why not.

. . . and yet it was reported that American troops have quietly been stationed in Taiwan. Will they be permitted to fight? Are they only “advisers”? Will they simply flee when China makes its move? "MAC T?" Hope they're more effective than MAC V or K MAG before them.

Okay, you made me look it up:

Interesting read, especially about the sugar smuggling LST at the end of the article. Talk about being unintentional heroes at a most inconvenient time! (I can just imagine the dialogue on the ship as they realized what was going down.)

With their Trojan Horse in the WH and the corporate media providing cover and distraction with fluff issues, now is the perfect once-in-a-long-time opportunity for them to take over Taiwan.
To: American Number 181269513
We have had several recent typhoons that missed the Philippines but hit China. Yesterday it was north of us, only signal one, but Taiwan is not too far north of Luzon...
That might complicate things if they try to invade.
