Catsimatidis Warns Inflation to Get Worse

Inflation is about to get significantly worse, radio show host and retail grocer John Catsimatidis warned on Sunday on his own “The Cats Roundtable” radio show on WABC 770 AM.

As a grocer, Catsimatidis said that he is aware not only about the facts concerning influences on the economy, but that he has “the pulse of the situation” from what is going on in his stores.

Catsimatidis cautioned that “there are price increases coming through from food manufacturers that are not public yet that could rock somebody’s socks.”

He gave two examples of large retailers about ready to push up prices significantly, saying that “PepsiCo has announced that they are coming up with big increases” and major cookie supplier Nabisco “gave us a price increase that’s coming through in November - anywhere from 4% to 14%.”

He cited the doubling of oil to almost $80 a barrel as a major reason for the price increase, which means the cost of transportation is significantly higher and is passed on to the consumer through higher prices at stores.

Catsimatidis noted that the oil was as low as about $40 a barrel during the time former President Donald Trump was in the White House.

He said that although President Joe Biden has promised no tax increases on ordinary Americans, such price increases are like a tax, because “the poor and the middle class [are] paying more for their food, they’re paying double the price for their gasoline.”

Catsimatidis said what makes the situation more absurd is that Biden halted work on an American pipeline for bringing oil and allowed Russia to open up their controversial one

He also charged that the [Biden Administration] wants to raise the price of gasoline so high that people will say, “maybe we should go to electric cars.”

All of this is deliberate. That is why those in leadership must be considered as profoundly evil.

Inflation is a tax. It is a hidden tax because not enough people realize it is a function of the amount of money the government creates. I figure 30% will be the yearly amount for this year.

That is equal to saying, Water will wet you. Inflation will not only get worse. It will get a hell of a lot worse. By 2022 we will be looking back fondly on how good it was in 2021.

Inflation IS a tax. This bout of inflation was put on all of us intentionally. And it hits the poorest of us all and those on fixed incomes.

Magic money and attacks on the energy supply have consequences.

And next to that perhaps the retirees who are dependent on savings, pensions and SS?

If the scumbags could care less about honest elections you can be damn sure they care even less about anybody else.

It’s not only inflation, it’s shortages. The Catman owns Manhattans two most important market chains. His and others have seen the recurring shortages. Now they seem annoying, no Coke products one week. No Swanson soups and broths another. The Stop n Shop my daughter uses had no fresh broccoli today and a limited selection of Tropicana OJ. There are 100+ cargo besdels off Long Beach Ca and e0+ waiting outside the Narrows waiting for Newark and Brooklyn to open up.

I have a model I frequently use. A responsible government taxes current income to fund its activities. When the government gets more rapacious in its desire to spend money, it taxes future income through borrowing. When it has taxed and borrowed as much as it can, it taxes past income through inflation.

We are in the third stage of this progression. The next phase consists of out and out confiscation of wealth. In a sense, this is a taxation of all three (past, present and future). If you have been paying attention, this has been roundly floated by the power elite in recent years. After that, collapse, I guess.

There are 100+ cargo besdels off Long Beach Ca>>> I would think this is mostly chinese crap. our fresh food mostly comes from here or mexico canada, and you have the grapes from chili. If you want a real laugh take a look at the city of LA port commissioners. They are all political hacks. No wonder the California ports are a mess. They are run by the cities they are in and just look at the cities.

Shortages, yeah. I was in a Walmart last week. Never have I seen so much empty shelf space. I know WallyWorld isn’t the best at keeping shelves stocked, but this was far, far worse.
