Federal agencies spell out their plans to help Americans cope with climate change

More than 20 federal agencies released reports Thursday detailing the biggest implications of the changing climate for all Americans and the agencies themselves. The reports, stemming from a January executive order by President Biden, show how climate change will affect nearly every aspect of daily living and address how each agency is preparing.

"By taking action now to better manage and mitigate climate risks, we will minimize disruptions to federal operations, assets and programs while creating safer working conditions for employees," the White House said Thursday.

In 2020, the United States experienced a record-breaking 22 natural disasters with at least $1 billion each in damages, according to the Department of Education.

In the 2021 Agency Climate Adaptation and Resilience Plans, 23 federal agencies warned that the effects of climate change are likely to continue to worsen in the near future.

The Department of Agriculture said wildfires and drought intensified by climate change reduce soil quality over time and impact pollinating insects. The Department of Homeland Security warned of disruptions to migration patterns due to things like rising sea levels, flooding and other results of extreme weather. The Department of Health and Human Services said the changing climate has a "significant impact on human health and disease," exposing populations to new pests, posing physical safety risks and even negatively affecting mental health.

"Climate change is a crisis impacting communities across the United States," the Department of Housing and Urban Development wrote in its report. "From severe storms and flooding, to wildfires, drought, and extreme heat, Americans are already feeling the effects."

Many of the reports also pointed out the disproportionate impact climate change has on marginalized communities.

A regulatory control cornucopia of everything from watering your lawn to eating popcorn. This will allow every agency of government to get up in your face every moment of every day about everything you do. The culmination of a generation of progressive intrusion into the private lives of everyone who is not an enforcer.

“Cope” with climate change?! They’ve been so brazen lately why not say “cope with Marxism”? 40% of the country would ok with that.

There is a full court press going on regarding climate change. The media is pushing it hard. The indoctrinated are true believers. We are passengers on a plane they are about to corkscrew into the ground.

Climate change is a jobs program for those unequal, queer, dyke and black that are political but lack the intellect and wherewithal to be of value to the job market

Climate Change jobs are for the incompetent and unequal

Look for a plan to create the equivalency of CARB.
Non elected political appointees writing laws no one ever has to sign.

"We are passengers on a plane they are about to corkscrew into the ground."

Yup. And as of November 3rd, 2020, they have locked themselves in the cockpit...

Any increase in wildfires has bupkis to do with Man-Made Global Warming and is much more the result of incompetent forest management policy dictated by EnviroNazis. Specifically the failure to maintain fire breaks and run controlled burns on a regular basis, and treating “old growth” forests like a holy shrine rather than a potential fire hazard that occasionally requires thinning and controlled burns of its own.

Then there’s the fact that forest fires are an absolute necessity to the survival of some species, particularly evergreens, because their seeds are bound in their cones by a pitch-like resin. If those same seeds fell straightway to the ground and sprouted, there could me too much competition for sunlight from the very trees that created the seeds, preventing any seedlings that might sprout from them from thriving. But by waiting to be released from the cone by the heat of a wildfire, those seedlings stand a better chance of receiving enough sunshine to grow to their full potential.

Fires are indispensable to the health of the western forests, and this is what comes from letting Mother Nature run your forestry program rather than conducting a regular series of small controlled burns.

Oh Bullshit! A few degrees warmer, if it’s really going to happen means less illness like influenza due to cold weather.

It means a LONGER growing season which leads to less hunger and starvation.

It means more CO2 and thus more PLANT FOOD and thus better farm yields, more forests, more flowers.

Warmer temps mean LESS need for winter heating, which means less energy usage, less dependence on oil, gas, nuclear and coal. Which means LESS “Greenhouse gasses.”

Has NONE of these “scientists” ever investigated the potential BENEFITS of a slight warming (if it really happens and is not due to some goofy arbitrary model)?

Take your “Climate Change” and shove it. I’ll take the few degrees gladly.
