Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine, state auditor Keith Faber, and Secretary of State Frank LaRose are considering offering and adopting a redistricting map ahead of the 2022 midterm elections that would be overly beneficial and lopsided toward helping Democrats retain their U.S. House majority, Breitbart News has learned.
Two senior Republican officials briefed on the proposal before its expected introduction next week told Breitbart News that DeWine, Faber, and LaRose are considering drawing a number of pro-Trump Republicans into Democrat-leaning districts as part of retaliation against former President Donald Trump, who the three establishment GOP leaders dislike. The two senior Republicans briefed on the plan told Breitbart News they believe this retaliation from DeWine and others is an effort to steer the GOP away from Trump, who won the the state of Ohio by huge margins in both 2016 and 2020, because they do not like the direction the party is currently going.
The map currently under consideration, these GOP officials said, could jeopardize as many as four or five GOP congressional districts in Ohio—a crushing blow to GOP efforts to retake the U.S. House majority. To retake the majority, Republicans currently need to flip a net five seats or more from Democrat hands into GOP hands in November next year—something that losing several seats in deep-red Ohio could seriously complicate.
A GOP source who has seen the map that DeWine as of now intends to introduce next week told Breitbart News that it would eliminate the district of Trump stalwart Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), pushing it entirely into deep-blue Columbus, Ohio, the state capital, instead.

what happen to inclusiveness? why they gonna exclude? thta’s not “nice” “fair” might be “racist” too.
When Vote fraud may not be enough.
the rat govt made a new law last year that counties of a certain amt MUST have 5 commissioners....even though this county has voted down 5 commissioners for eons AND that we're the only county in the state that this applies to....are country commissioners have been almost always pubs....
and they're picking the boundaries of these new districts with a definite slant to include rat areas so rats will for sure get seats....
The funny thing is, Jim Jordan gets money from Google, has for years.
DeWine is Deep State.
Ya gotta wonder if these fools are being paid by the Chinese to destroy America.
Did you know his father was a mail {male} man?
He actually was my mother in law's mail man in the 50s.
John Kasich was at one time a conservative congress critter, but like many, the DC swamp juice of power and money, corrupted him and he became a toady of the left to be accepted.
SAD.
DeWine is a democrat posing as a Republican. He acted as a little tyrant during the scamdemic. Hopefully the people of Ohio will remember and primary his A$$ next year.
You are exactly right, and it will definitely be difficult even to keep an 11-4 advantage in Ohio (and that’s before some liberal black-robed tyrant inevitably strikes down the Republican map). Both Cincinnati-area districts aren’t going to be able to be held indefinitely, and holding the Columbus and Cleveland areas to 1 Democrat apiece is hardly something that can be easily guaranteed for the foreseeable future.
We all know by now that the posted story is a fraud, and I don’t see any way the Ohio RINOs can eliminate Jim Jordan no matter how much they would dearly like to, but the state is going to be a net loss for the good guys no matter what — hopefully the bleeding is minimal.
“They did it to West, why would they not also do it to Jordan?”
Ten years ago the liberal Republicans in the Florida state legislature not only carved up and thus eliminated Allen West’s district — ridding themselves of an outspoken conservative whom they despised — but they also eliminated Sandy Adams, an attractive conservative woman who was in her freshman term in Congress. I don’t really know how conservative she was, but since the RINOs hated her....
They merged her district into the same one with tired old moderate John Mica and the establishment candidate easily won the primary against the less well-known outsider. The Orlando suburbs, particularly once-solid Seminole County, massively deteriorated demographically over the past decade (the Orlando area as a whole — at least Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties — has gone hard left), and Mica himself was defeated by a liberal Democrat a couple of terms later.
In any case, it’s not impossible for state-level RINOs who control the redistricting process to screw conservatives every bit as much as if Democrats had controlled the process. But this article about Ohio, while it fits the pattern (RINOs like DeWine hate conservatives like Jordan) is still mainly wishful-thinking media bullshit.
I wish someone from OAN or Newsmax would corner him and press him about his vote for xiden.
Most of Ohio’s GOP Leadership are gutless, backstabbing vermin. (e.g. Mike DeWine, Mike Turner, Rob Portmann, Anthony Gonzalez, Kasich....)
Jim Jordan is the best Rep the Ohio GOP has had in a long time!
They went through this in Virginia a decade ago as back stabbing RINOs did all they could against conservatives for state offices and congressional seats.
The result was that once solid red Virginia is now a permanent democrat s**thole like California.
Ohio, do something now against those RINOSs or the same will happen to you.
In addition to the facts you mention is the fact that Jordan is very popular in Ohio and DeWine is running for re-election. I don’t think he would dare try this after the damage he has already done to himself with the stupid mistakes he initially made with the COVID lockdown.
OHIO PING!
Please let me know if you want on or off the Ohio Ping list.

IIRC Trump carried Ohio...by a comfortable margin...both times.
If we have to lose a seat make it Joyce’s (he’s my rep...sigh)
RINOs will sell you the rope to hang them. — V. I. Lenin
Just another reason to be glad that I left the party in October 2020.
PING!
Same thing is being attempted in New York State, where Dems want to reduce the number of NY Republicans in Congress from 8 to 2, with their specially designed map—and a totally Dem state.
And yes our new governor, the Cuomo replacement, is the ringleader.
