There is bad news to share for Memphis Grizzlies fans. If you plan on attending an NBA game you will have to provide vaccination papers and wear a face mask.
The Grizzlies are owned by people who seem to have an affinity for fascism, which should not be surprising for a professional sports organization that dribbles with the Communist Chinese.
The unvaccinated must get a test within 72 hours of a game and must provide official government documents verifying the test results.
"FedExForum will require everyone – regardless of vaccination status – to wear a face mask inside FedExForum until the order is lifted. This includes Grizzlies games, Tigers games, and all concerts and events. Per local and national guidelines, children under 2 will not be required to wear a mask," the team said in a statement.

Same for the players.

The news reports on this keep saying the FedEx Forum is requiring this for Grizzlies and University of Memphis Tigers games.
It is not clear whether the team per se is requiring this or those running the FedEx Forum are responsible. At least we know as far as the Tigers go it was not their decision.
The last NBA game I went to (Knicks/Houston) the only players I remember were Sampson and Olajuwon.
I don’t miss it.
They couldn’t pay me enough to go to an NBA game. Perhaps the Grizzers should relocate to china.

Most people in professional sports — especially “mens” professional sports — are without doubt the most frightened people in America. Many of the team owners, team managers and coaches, players and sportcasters and sportswriters in “mens” sports have allowed their emotions to transform them into nothing more than scared little b*tches. They spend nearly as much time talking about the Fauci Flu (i.e., the seasonal flu with a press agent) than they do about the sport. I really thought this would be over by now but the hysteria — particularly in “mens” professional sports — continues. I think they like it! — the hysteria, that is.

Yes, they said we would be “free” of the mask if we only got their precious poison injected into us.
They don’t seem to be that good of a team. They are located in a city with a huge black population. That is a good portion of their fan base. This is also the group with the highest un-vaccination rate. Makes good business sense.
All fans should wear yellow stars.

This is why all of these standard pro contracts have language that prohibits the athlete from doing all kinds of "risky" things like riding motorcycles and flying private airplanes -- or even playing other sports!
Can’t imagine spending good money to see pro level game and have to be burdened with a mask and related annoyances.
What’s the protocol if you buy a beer at the game? Unmask, sip, re-mask? Is there someone making sure if you do it fast enough? What about cheering after a big play? Mask stays on? Or just sit there quietly?
Does the grizzly’s own the areana or does the city? Seems there is a lot of demanding going on these days
If the fans are big enough fools to go along with it, and they will be. Then that is on the fans. However, there is no humiliation that is too great for a sport fan to say, “Enough”.
Some friends just got back from a 7 day cruise to metheekoh and said while on board, outside their cabin, masks were required at all times. Lower to take a sip return to proper position. Repeat. Doesn’t sound like a vacation I would enjoy. Plus CV ID and proof of negative tests within 48 hours of sailing. NOT that interested in any of it.
