Republicans want voters to blame the national debt on Joe Biden and the Democrats. The truth is they own it too.

In 2017, the US national debt surpassed $20 trillion for the first time.

Former President Donald Trump added about $7.8 trillion to the debt with spending and tax cuts.

The debt ceiling needs to be raised to cover past fiscal decisions.

Not many people outside the Beltway truly understand what the US's debt ceiling is or how and when it needs to be raised. And Senate Republicans are banking on that.....

But the debt is also a product of Republicans' 2017 tax cut, which reduced federal revenues - corporate tax rates dropped from 35% to 21% - without a commensurate cut in federal spending.

The Dems control both houses of congress and the presidency, failure to pass the budget is on them.

But I firmly believe some rinos will give in to the rats.

Here is the lie. Tax cuts do not cost the government money. 5.5 trillion in brand new spending the Biden Democrats want does. Another fake equivalency argument by the Democrat Party propaganda bots.

$7.8 trillion to the debt with spending and tax cuts.

GOP has been only too eager to pass egregious spending bills. They are complicit and have no warrant to complain. They might muscle up once in awhile to stop the rat scumbags, but over time, they have proven to be worthless.

I don’t absolve the Republicans for being go along to get
along folks. I do think that Gingrich and Company did more
to help Clinton get things under Control than Democrats do
to help Republicans get things under control.

I won’t bring up Ryan and McConnell...

I’ve said for years that as a fiscal conservative, I agree with basically no Democrats and maybe - maybe - half the Republicans.

The last time congress actually performed it's appropriations responsibility was in 2001 when they last passed appropriations bills for government spending.

Ever since it's just a mutual gratification with a big porkulus load.

You are the best Democrat Party PR bots around here

How about ONE time you do not leap to the defense of your Democrat party gods by blaming the GOP for what the Democrats are actually doing?

How about ONE TIME you grown up and hold the Democrats accountable for their actions instead of whining 24-7-365 at the GOP?

And here we go. Exactly what the Democrat’s want. A bunch of fake “Conservatives” whining hysterically about the speck in the GOPs eye instead of the 2 by 4 in the Democrat’s eyes

How about ONE TIME you all stop knee jerk whining at the GOP and actually hold the Dems accountable for what they are doing?

One can argue about whether Clinton really balanced the budget, but it was not too far off. Then Bush and Cheney and the neocons and the war on terror war on the middle east and war war war and oh borrow borrow borrow. So, actually, I blame Bush and the chickenhawk neocons [on both sides of the aisle]

Biden’s massive spending plans include:
$3 billion for ‘tree equity’,
$12 billion for electric cars,
$1 billion more to turn government facilities into ‘high-performance green buildings’
plus millions more for gender identity and bias training.

More importantly, the entire Biden Crime Family.......even the littlest Biden.......all get to be multi-billionaires.

Former President Donald Trump added about $7.8 trillion to the debt with spending and tax cuts.

What a load of crap. Tax cuts don't add to the debt. Spending does.

What is the point of a "debt ceiling" if they just raise it every time they get there?

Who gives a crap what “the truth” is?

Has there been ANY benefit to “telling the truth” in the last decade? Have voters given their vote to truth tellers?

Have liars been punished? I’d say the record is quite the opposite.
