Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) referred to former President Trump as a “fading brand,” according to a new book published by Washington Post journalists Bob Woodward and Robert Costa, the Lexington Herald Ledger reported.
According to their new book “Peril,” McConnell reportedly called Trump “a fading brand. Retired. OTTB as they say in Kentucky — off-the-track Thoroughbred.”
McConnell, often a target of Trump's ire, also reportedly said that he saw a trend indicating that the Republican Party was starting to move away from Trumpism, reportedly saying “Sucking up to Donald Trump is not a strategy that works."

Turkeyneck and his Chicom Old Lady were looking in the mirror.
> The more they hate Trump the more I want him back and the more we refuse anyone else. <
I couldn’t agree more.
Unfortunately Trump has been banned from Facebook, twitter, youtube... Media brainwashed people into thinking Trump colluded with Russia, tried to use Ukraine to damage Biden, screwed models with a pregnant wife, and called Rosie O’Donnell fat. Trump also lost a ton of money in the pandemic. And Trump is getting up in years, people will rightly wondering about the wisdom of electing another old person. That and Trump may be in financial trouble with his real estate that suffered under the lockdowns— I believe he was specifically barred from receiving any bailout money.
Bottom line: DeSantis has a better shot. That’s where my money is.
.
That’s why McConnell supports Liz Cheney and is moving money to her Campaign.
.
So says the representative of a failing civilization. A disaster that he was instrumental in bringing about.
Who is this “McConnell”?
What we see in America today is what mitch helped cause
Meanwhile Lindsay Graham is trying to play peacemaker between Trump and McConnell.
The problem is the Senate lifers. You want to fix this? Put the Presidency and the Senate on identical 4-year terms -- there will be enough whipsawing to ensure no Senator serves more than 2 or 3 terms.
I don’t disagree with any of your opening points, though do note that facebook et al will ban de Santis and anyone right of Romney. Just as I originally backed Cruz because Trump had no political track record, donated to Ted Kennedy’s campaign, and once described himself as pro-choice, his actual performance gives him a prior claim on my support as things now stand.
We’ll see how “fading” Trump’s brand is at the upcoming rally in Georgia Saturday.
I predict a full house plus thousands outside and even more watching on RSBN and other streaming broadcasts.
It’s Mitch and Woodward who are “fading.”
All lies! Well maybe one is true ...
take a photo of all 3 (Trump Woodward and Mitch) and do a man on the street...
you’ll know who everyone knows real quick (it’s trump, its not really that hard to figure out)
Make Turtleneck Extinct.
Mitch’s comments haven’t aged well. Trump is more popular than ever. And GOP candidates beg for his endorsement.
If there was any remaining doubt that Mitch is out of touch with the voters in his own party, this statement just removed it.
Probably the Chinese!
So, Mitch believed that supporting the ideals and policies of his party’s elected leader is “sucking up?” This guy has got to go.
