Gen. Mark Milley reportedly suggested the 2020 Black Lives Matter riots that caused an estimated one billion dollars in damage were trivial, according to authors Bob Woodward and Robert Costa in the book Peril.

“Mr. President, they are not burning it down,” Milley gave his opinion to former President Trump about the riots sparked by George Floyd’s death.

Nothing like a fighting general trying to stay above the fray.

I think his threshold is over 100billion as evidenced by what he left in afghanistan.

It seems to me that if the President were to say, “I want this area pacified. I need this rebellion mopped up by any means necessary.” It would make sense for the President to turn to his Army chief and say, “How can we accomplish that goal?”

But, for the Army chief to say “Ain’t no big thing” seems like a political assessment that the general has no business making.

Weren’t trivial if your business was looted or burned down.

Congressman has to hide in an office supply closet? Worst violence since Pearl Harbor.

That's only insured damage.

Factor in uninsured loss, loss of business and jobs, medical claims from injuries, etc.

I think the only thing Modern Milley has attacked in his life is Trump and his supporters.

Actually, it was more like $2 billion-plus (and that was just the insurance payouts).

But by golly, some questionable ‘conservatives’ breaking a couple of windows at the Capitol was the equivalent of violent terrorist acts in an attempted ‘insurrection’ according to people like milley

The damages weren’t trivial to the people who were on the receiving end of the attacks. Milley’s attitude is typical of liberals. Hillary: “What difference does it make?” Sleepy Joe: “That was four days...five days ago.” Milley: “A billion dollars damage is trivial...” as I’m sure he considers leaving billions of dollars of military equipment in Afghanistan trivial as well.

He shouldn’t even be called a general. He’s never had troops at his command unless you count the bathhouses he frequented.
