If we did not already have enough reasons to believe that General Mark Milley has no business serving as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, today’s blockbuster story in the Washington Post, excerpted from the Bob Woodward/Robert Costa book Peril, should confirm this. Any Congress worthy of the name in a democracy would open an investigation of General Milley and push for his removal; any president who took his oath seriously would fire him immediately.
Here is what Woodward and Costa report, apparently from General Milley’s own mouth as one of their principal sources for the book:
...
Now, what General Milley did in this instance is not, in the proper sense of the word, treason, given that China is not an open enemy in war. [UPDATE: On further reflection, however, it could be construed as an offer to commit treason, given that the promise to give notice of a future attack presupposes action at odds with a direct, armed conflict ordered by the commander in chief.] It probably violates the terms of the Logan Act, but that statute is possibly unconstitutional and should be repealed. (I confess I do not know enough of the Uniform Code of Military Justice to say whether or not this violates any of its provisions.) It is not even quite a military coup. But it skates awfully close to that line.
There is no circumstance in which an American military officer should be conducting his own rogue foreign policy without informing the civilian leadership. That strikes directly at the heart of our democratic, constitutional system, in which the elected president and Congress — and the appointees who are chosen by the president and report to him — make the major foreign-policy decisions, and the military must carry them out.

If this is true then yes. Maybe it happens, they need a scapegoat.. quickly.
I do not believe the Commander in Chief has the authority to order an unprovoked nuclear attack, and I believe orders to do so should be, and would be, refused - and I believe this has been true for many, many years.
I saw some news that Pelosi is involved too. If that’s the case, he goes down for no other reason than to save Pelosi. Dems can’t go into 2022 with Pelosi more damaged.
Milley is hiding while the MSM is spinning this like crazy.
Firing isn’t enough. I would think it’s a court martial offense.
Milley Vanilly may be a fake general but he’s a real traitor.
The UCMJ DOES apply to an active duty officer, regardless of rank. However, in “prosecutorial discretion”, it probably would not be, as General Milley is at the top of the food chain, and there is an old maxim, “If you are going to take a shot at the king, don’t miss.”
But firing him, from this regime? There are three chances of that, fat, slim and none.
WHERE’S Harry Truman when you need him?????????
I read in another article on this that Mark Levin, who has read the whole book, said that Milley had made other officers take an oath of loyalty to him. Does anybody know anything more about this?
Comrade General Milley is deservant of the courtesy given to one Comrade Berea!!
Oh I don’t know...Biden is under a lot of heat right now over Afghanistan and to get rid of that heat(and the Mandate thingy is blowing up crazy), Biden could jabber some stuff about how if this general could do what he did to one president, then this same general could do it to him, there-fore his trust is shaken in Milley, especially over his handling of Afghanistan, thus, after praising Milley for his years of service, Biden fires him. It could win back some of the leftists who have been grumbling against Biden.
Must follow LAWFUL orders. That says it all. He was not within his sphere to contact anyone regardless of his “belief”. What this says is there was a demo media psychosis that permeated our entire political and military hierarchy about Trump. Worse it shows how outsiders are viewed by our supreme 4th branch of government. IMO it is time to start over and not just throw the bums out but redirect our country back to its roots.
Fired ???
This is what is wrong with our country.,
My best guess is it's all part of the drumbeat to prepare the way for Milley to be the scapegoat for Afghanistan.
My question is, does a fat payoff exist out there for Milley or is he just a fool. Another example proving the old adage that there is not honor among thieves !
The spin has already begun Jennifer Griffin was just on and reports that her sources claim the calls were initiated by civilian (in Trump cabinet) who asked him to make calls to reassure China. Did anyone else get the name?
Jenifer Griffin just reported that Milley was acting routinely in trying to calm China’s fears about the election, that he was simply assuring them that all was ok. Milley is claiming the call was taken out of context. Nancy Pelosi had a conversation with Milley and she was frantic, screaming during the call, that Trump was crazy, out of control and she wanted nuclear capability taken from Trump because of what he might do. Milley assured her everything was fine. (Paraphrased)
Fired? That’s like saying The Rosenbergs should have been fined
That makes a little more sense.
Court Martialed and THEN fired.
