Must follow LAWFUL orders. That says it all. He was not within his sphere to contact anyone regardless of his “belief”. What this says is there was a demo media psychosis that permeated our entire political and military hierarchy about Trump. Worse it shows how outsiders are viewed by our supreme 4th branch of government. IMO it is time to start over and not just throw the bums out but redirect our country back to its roots.

But there are people on this thread who believe that to disobey an order from the Commander in Chief to nuke Paris would be treason, and that’s just not so.
But the winner of the confrontation gets to decide which orders were "lawful".
If the troops are ordered to confiscate all civilian-owned firearms, how many of them will refuse based on the "shall not be infringed" phrase of the second amendment? The true law of the land.
