Plaintiffs seeking religious exemptions allege the state questioned the sincerity of their religion..
Dozens of State Patrol troopers, firefighters and other state employees have filed a lawsuit against Washington Gov. Jay Inslee, a Democrat, for his COVID-19 vaccine mandate, alleging he is overstepping his authority and violating state law.
The lawsuit, filed Friday by Seattle attorney Nathan Arnold in Walla Walla County Superior Court, lays out seven causes of action against Inslee and pays particular attention to the nature of the state's religious exemptions, which plaintiffs allege constitute a deprivation of religious freedom under the state Constitution.
In August, Inslee ordered all state employees to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by Oct. 18 or face being fired. Washington state's vaccine mandate is one of the strictest in the country.
Among the more than 90 individual plaintiffs, more than 53 are State Patrol employees, some are Department of Corrections employees, and several others work for the fire department or state ferry system.
"Some Plaintiffs have, as a right by statute and a right secured by the Washington Constitution, sought a religious exemption from the Governor’s Mandate," the lawsuit says in part. "As a condition of considering the Plaintiffs’ religious exemptions, the state or its agencies have required the submission of a ‘religious questionnaire’ which improperly inquired into protected private affairs regarding health care decisions and religious sentiment, belief, and worship."

The Plaintiffs each face deprivation of their life, liberty, or property as a direct consequence of both the State’s inquiries on the religious questionnaire which is not consistent with due process, and the Governor’s Mandate which was not properly or legally enacted, and which is not consistent with due process," the lawsuit states.

Unfortunately they’ll all be tossed because the suits aren’t “ripe” (they haven’t actually been damaged yet).
That’s not true: they have been subjected to — not merely the threat, but the PROMISE of PHYSICAL harm; THAT’s “damage” enough to loose the bonds restraining retaliatory action.
Someone threatens you on the street — that’s ALL IT TAKES: a credible THREAT; and you now have full legal license to DESTROY them to avert that threat.
If there is any dissimilarity between that sort of threat and this outright PROMISE, it is that this is WORSE; it being not merely the threat, but the PROMISE to deprive people of liberty, cascading into loss of income, loss of home, loss of food, loss of — they don’t call it “deprivation” for nothing!
These government assholes are PROMISING to outright DEPRIVE Citizens of their very day-to-day sustenance!
THIS CANNOT BE COUNTENANCED IN PEACE AND TRANQUILITY!

Legislators and Executive powers — at State and Federal levels — are making mandates upon the citizens that contravene elemental human rights. They KNOW they are violating human rights, they DON’T CARE that they are violating human rights, they are of the mindset that the AGENDA they pursue SUPERSEDES human rights, so they are making Legislation, and issuing Executive diktat IN DIRECT CONFLICT with human rights; foisting these travesties on their citizens, and saying — mockingly — “There, no you go try to reclaim your liberties through the Courts,” themselves believing that this will be too expensive for the citizens to accomplish, that it will take so long that their dicta will survive undiminished in the meanwhile (and so become Law by default), and that — ultimately — the highest courts will rule in favor of these new-minted dictators.
THAT IS THEIR BET! And IF THEY ARE RIGHT, there are no free countries, anymore! And there are no free citizens, anymore!
THIS is the hour! THIS is the DAY to PROVE them WRONG!
For beyond this precipice NO FREEDOM will be held sacrosanct.

While I agree with this lawsuit, I swear if Jay Inslee was caught on tape shooting a Republican with 1,000 witnesses, the Washington State Supreme Court would dismiss the case. It is seriously that bad here.
This case has no chance in hell with the Supreme Court we have here in Washington State. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but these people, while good intentioned, have an expensively rude awakening coming.
Only chance is the Federal Courts and I’m no lawyer so I have no idea how it can make it there. That is the only chance.
Funny how if you claim a religious exemption to forced “vaccination”, the “wall of separation” Leftist establishment suddenly wants to hear all about your religious beliefs.
Imagine The Party asking queers how often they engage in anal sex, name the times and dates. First homosexual experience, how old you were and the victim if under age? They turn around though and ask the Religious to PROVE they are part of the acceptable “Churched”. This on its face is Un-Constitutional
If the curve gets good and flattened, they will do their utmost to cover it up. Same thing with new and better therapeutics and prophylactics. They will go all in to discredit them.
