Poll: Opposition to Recall Surges to 60% as Gavin Newsom, Allies Target Larry Elder

A new poll suggests that incumbent Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) could survive the effort to boot him from office, with just days away from the September 14 recall.

A U.C. Berkeley Institute of Governmental Studies poll revealed that 60.1 percent of likely voters said they oppose Newsom being recalled.

Reagan and Carter were too close to call. Oops. People made up their minds at the last minute.

They will cheat, but polls are steaming manure designed to influence or justify a result.

This is the same poll that had Elder competitive a few months ago.

Recall vote will top out at 45% to remove Newsom. Wouldn’t surprise me to see it in the low 40s.

Gotta move the polls so the cheat looks legit.

Larry Elder has a good message and Newsom has maybe 18 months to steal and implement his ideas before the next election.

You know, during the last recall, I posted this on FreeRepublic:

DUMP DAVIS

A nice fellow on this forum printed up about 5000 bumperstickers of that and we both proceeded to pass them out. It was nice to see cars on Hwy 1 headed to Carmel with my handiwork on them.

Don't think that was the only reason Dear Gray got Dumped, but I'm sure it helped. I don't see hardly anything like that this time, and this guy is infinitely worse. Maybe it's my fault. I could print up the bumperstickers myself and send them out, but I have no idea if the R's would do anything except wrinkle their nose at it - "Too divisive" or whatever. But the point is that there is no short, sweet, to the point summary in the message. It may be that in the organizer's mind's it's the totality of his crap, but voters need something simple to hang their hats on. The Rats' have their meme: it's the "Republican recall". Oooooh...mean ol' Repugnants. Gavin may be bad, but we can't let them do thaaat!

A simple message.

On the pic below from the recall website, where do you see "lockdowns", "mandatory vax", "businesses destroyed"?

The statement of purpose following this pic:

"Unaffordable housing. Record homelessness. Rising crime. Failing schools. Independent contractors thrown out of work. Exploding pension debt. And now, a locked down population while the prisons are emptied".

That's good. But they don't get to the big deal until the last sentence and then it's indirect.

Just say it out loud: RECALL GOVERNOR LOCKDOWN.

That's my simple point. The R's ain't gettin' the marketing right. It's almost like Dan Lungren is running the recall.

PS I do get an email from Larry Elder about every 15 minutes. But it's basically the same noise. I give him cash now and again, but haven't seen a good message from his outfit yet. At least not one that has a beat, and you can dance to it!

Who can trust an electronic election now?

Larry Elder can, he said Biden won fair and square.

Kevin Kiley is the right choice.

Polling is essentially disinformation, as it has been used to depress turnout for Republican candidates and conservative ballot measures. Even factoring in the cheating in November 2020, the polls were wildly inaccurate, showing a Biden blowout when his official margin was 4 points. The Left uses polling as an item in their election toolbox for a long time.

Ha I was on that zoom call.

For those who are interested Carl DeMaiao reports that the breathless polls proclaiming a slam dunk for Newsom are based on an 88 % turnout.

We had a 77% turnout in Nov 2020. Obviously this turnout will be lower.

So the polls are garbage from the get go.

Newsom might win, I don’t know. But it’s not a given.

We all know who the motivated voters are, and they sure aren't Newsom supporters.

There's no doubt that massive fraud will be attempted. I'm praying that everyone who has not voted yet floods the polls with their ballots ON Election Day. Don't give the Rats any advice notice, it's a little harder to cheat that way.

Election Integrity Project also very active. I don’t know how much difference they will make but we aren’t just sitting on our duffs.

No surprise.

It isn’t Elder’s support that is an issue - it is the “Yes” vote on recall.

Hillary had odds of a “90-99%” chance of winning in 2016. The rest is history.

Regarding 2020 election fraud and lack of integrity or transparency.

Elder said Biden won fair and square. That bizarre comment alone is problematic.

Elder had plenty of time to organize a poll watching campaign, but he was short on money. The polls make sense in that as the question became Gavin vs. Larry, the recall campaign lost ground. Pity. They should have tried to make it about Gavin and that changed a month ago. Better luck next time. Californians will never vote for a white male racist which they have succeeded in making Larry. Gavin had 70 million plus to spend.

There is still an outside chance, since as of yesterday 52% of ballots returned are from dems and with in person vote totals today being mainly republican, the thought is if the dem percent is reduced by 6 or more points, the recall may win. It's a long shot, but we'll see.

Yes, there are in person polling places. You don’t have to complete a mail in ballot.
