Vice President Kamala Harris and former President George W. Bush to attend 9/11 observance at Flight 93 memorial

SHANKSVILLE, Pa. — Vice President Kamala Harris and former President George W. Bush will visit the Flight 93 memorial in Somerset County for the annual observance of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the National Park Service said.

Names of passengers and crew members will be read at 10:03 a.m., the time that Flight 93 crashed into a field in rural Shanksville after being hijacked on Sept. 11, 2001.

Bush and Interior Secretary Deb Haaland will deliver remarks at the observance.

Also scheduled to speak are Gov. Tom Wolf; Capt. David Kurtz, of the USS Somerset; and Gordon Felt, whose brother, Edward was a passenger on Flight 93.

The ceremony will be closed to the public. Livestreaming video will be available on WTAE.com and the WTAE mobile app.
