Trump REFUSES to back Texas abortion ruling and calls it 'complex and probably TEMPORARY'

Donald Trump wouldn't say whether he agrees with the Supreme Court ruling upholding a new Texas heartbeat law that bans abortion after six weeks – or when a fetal heartbeat can be detected.

In his first on-camera interview since leaving office, Trump said the ruling is likely temporary.

'I know that the ruling was very complex and also probably temporary,' the former president told Sharyl Attkisson in an interview taped Saturday in Bedminster, New Jersey. 'I think other things will happen and that will be the big deal and the big picture.

'Both sides seem to agree that this ruling is largely your doing based on the Supreme Court picks that you made. Do you agree with the ruling?' Attkisson asked.

'Well, I will tell you this: We do have a Supreme Court that's a lot different than it was before, it was acting very strangely. And I think, probably not in the interests of our country,' Trump said.

Of the new law, the former president said: 'I'm studying it right now.'

Former President Donald Trump wouldn't say in an interview taped Saturday whether he agrees with the Supreme Court allowing a new Texas abortion bill to become law.

Trump told Full Measure host Sharyl Attkisson (right) that the ruling is 'very complex and also probably temporary'

When does life end? Answer this first and we can then can have a rational basis for when life begins.

The Texas law only gives the right to a private civil action if an abortion is preformed where there is a fetal heartbeat.

Nothing he said was inaccurate. The goal of the people posing the question was to make sure he talks about nothing except that for the next six months.

If Sharyl Atkinson posed the question, I take back the part I said about her goal. He still avoided being tied down on the issue. He governed as a pro-life president. He has the right enemies.

Abortion rights used to be the rights of the states. Different states had different laws. Some states allowed no abortion while Washington state had a quickening or heartbeat abortion right.

The true sickos like the national Roe bill because they want babies to come to full term before aborted so they can sell baby parts.

DJ Trump is a quick study and it is showing in his lack of “foot in mouth” instances when the media attempts to play gotcha with him.

“The goal of the people posing the question was to make sure he talks about nothing except that for the next six months.”

What’s wrong with that?

In his first on-camera interview since leaving office,

Wasn't he interviewed by Hannity recently?

He merely said “I’m studying it.”

That’s not anything to get excited about. He knows enough to look several layers below the surface with any cheap MSM headline or deep state narrative

This is either fake news, using and abusing what Trump said. Taking remarks out of context or Trump is reverting back to his pro abortion liberal Democrat roots.

My first impression is that this is a DM hit piece, complete with sensationalized headline and selective quotes. I reserve judgment until I can hear the whole unedited interview in context.

It can only be the law of the land when 38 states have abortion restrictions. It would only be restricted through law at the lowest point of commonality, not the maximum point of desirability

Temporary? As in Trump expects the Supreme Court to reverse themselves in the next six weeks or so?

That's the biggest mistake the pro-life movement has ever made. They should have talked about choice for the states. There was choice when it came to abortion prior to the disastrous 1973 ruling that is why this country is so divided.

Trump is reverting back to his pro abortion liberal Democrat roots.

Nothing Trump says here is incorrect.

Read the SC "decision." It is basically a shrug, and does not decide a single issue concerning the Texas law.

Trump wants moment of conception I'm sure. This might give some states incentive to go for just heartbeat instead the whole ball of wax.

Even a very ignorant person can figure out that every human being has 46 chromosomes...23 from the mother and 23 from the father. They merge at conception and the life of a human being begins.

What’s wrong with that?

The questions would not be placed in a way that would lead to a discussion of murdering children, but only in terms of "snitching" on uber drivers that didn't know the abortion mill performs abortions. They wouldn't be honest questions, and nothing fruitful would come of them.
