The US supreme court voted 5-4 to allow a Texas law banning most abortions to remain in force. The law prohibits abortions once medical professionals can detect cardiac activity, usually around six weeks and before most women know they’re pregnant.

So what happened? Why are these gals so angry? They have sponges. They have pills. They have implants. They have shots. They have condoms. A lot of this stuff is inexpensive or free through your local health department. They have STD prevention and STD testing and wow, it's a WAY different world than when all this started.
I'm old enough to remember when it started. I remember my mom having to go through a bunch of red tape to get oral contraceptives as treatment for her migraine headaches because birth control pills used to be against the law, too. LOL (Actually, I think Mom also didn't want to have any more kids. Who can blame her? She had me!)
And a lot of these gals will use the "faux catholic" argument just like Catholic Nan P: "WE don't really need abortions, but all these ethnic minority women do, because they're not smart enough to use birth control!"
Keep it up, girlfriends: You'll end up losing us the vote, too.
i remember when getting birth control was nearly impossible. not so any more. the trick is to use it which seems beyond many in our dumbed down country. i’m so bored with this controversy after 40 years.

There are so many methods of birth control out there now there’s absolutely no excuse for an “oopsie” pregnancy. Best one, of course, is to hold an aspirin firmly between your knees.
If it’s that big of a problem, take a long weekend and drive to New Mexico. They’ll be happy to help you kill your baby.
Outraged? Sickened? Terrified? Sounds to me like a normal, compassionate person’s reaction to visualizing a human fetus being brutally ripped to shreds in the womb.
They deserve to be ridiculed. Three of the responses stated they were too young and immature to be a parents. One said her boyfriend was stupid
So the obvious question — if your boyfriend is stupid and to are too immature to have a kid why are you having sex? There are plentiful of other ways to have a five second muscle spasm than to risk pregnancy.
The stupidity is breathtaking in these people.
They’re “outraged,” “sickened” and (insert your favorite little drama queen phrase here) because it has become more difficult to kill the unborn.

This decision is the beginning of putting abortion back where it is supposed to be. At the State level. There is nothing in the US Constitution about abortion or a right to privacy. If Texas bans abortion great. If NJ says it is legal. That is what the people want.
