On Aug 4, the Ottawa-based Macdonald Laurier Institute (MLI) hosted a webinar titled "A Level Playing Field: Sex, gender and fairness in women's sport." The panel of speakers included: Jon Pike, former chair of the British Philosophy of Sport Association, who moderated; Linda Blade, high-performance coach and President of Athletics Alberta; Mianne Bagger, former touring professional golfer (and transsexual woman); Leslie A. Howe, professor of philosophy at the University of Saskatchewan; Emma Hilton, Developmental Biologist, University of Manchester; and Alison Sydor, Olympic medalist in mountain biking. ADVERTISEMENT The panel kicked off with a summary of a MLI-sponsored survey of Canadians' attitudes regarding women's sport and gender identity: * a majority of Canadians feel sport should be segregated according to biological sex (56 percent) * 18 percent of Canadians take the opposing view (ration 3:1) * 62 percent of Canadians feel it is unfair to allow transwomen to compete with female athletes * 15 percent of Canadians feel it is fair to allow transwomen to compete with female athletes (ratio 4:1) * Among those with the strongest views, the ratio is 6:1 of Canadians who support separate competitions and think it's unfair for male-bodied athletes to compete in women's events * Only 17 percent of Canadians believe trans athletes should be able to compete in the category of their choice based only on self-identification * 23 percent of Canadians believe trans athletes should compete in the category corresponding to their sex at birth * The majority of Canadians (25 percent) believe the women's category should be open to biological women (including females who identify as male), and that male athletes who identify as female should compete in an "open" or mixed-sex category. According to the MLI, these polling results are similar to those found in the UK and USA....

It’s time to kick a trans freak in the balls and tell him to get the hell off the playing field
I don’t understand the problem. Just have transgenders compete against each other. Just add this new category: Men, Women and Trans. Why would that be so difficult?
There’s a fourth category now: unvaccinated.
Excuse me, new guidance from the Word Burners: “yet-to-be-vaccinated”
I am all for any trans athlete to enter in the MEN’s Competitions!
Strange that no one is making THIS an issue, No?
Because the idea (in their minds) is trans women are women. They want to be in places that women occupy... bathrooms, lockerrooms, spas, sports and so forth.
Adding a third category (in their minds) is discounting their gender.
Actually the solution to ‘the problem’ Trans-Gendered Athletes is pretty simple. Prior to the enlightend 21st century we had only two classification for athletes, male & female. If I remember my high school biology or maybe English, living things were classified as He (male) She (female) and It (neither).
So in order to acheive ‘fairness’, maybe move to three classes. Male Female and It. Congress could pass a new amendment to title 9 . Call it Title 9x.
Problem solved
:: Because the idea (in their minds) is trans women are women. ::
And trans-men are, just trans-men.
Nothing special to be celebrated.
They chose to convert to the most despised gender on the face of this plant.
Without saying it out-loud...lefties say, “Eff ‘em.”
For what % of the population?
New guidelines: You got junk you is male
Should be: You EVER HAD junk you is male.
They won't relax their stranglehold until or unless all these BS issues are forced to the forefront of US politics.... AS IF they are MORE important than a stolen election and an intentionally and shamefully bungled military evacuation of US personnel from A’stan!!!
There are weight classes in boxing, wrestling, weight lifting etc. because a 121 pound person can’t compete with a 290 pound person. So let people “identify” as what ever gender they want to but test for testosterone and set up a set some classes based on that.
I weigh about 240. Can I identify as a welter weight?
And, yes — that means shutting down all public school sports programs, too.
The problem, for pc idiots, is segregating trans athletes is like a hole in the dike (or dyke for that matter). Once you admit there is a difference between women and trans women, between men and trans men, it undermines the whole trans political edifice. Activists will destroy women’s athletic programs before they let that happen.
There are no trans men
Those men who consider themselves women are freaks
Now why did you have to insert common sense into the debate?
Guidelines on transgender athletes competing in women’s sports.
1. NO
2.HELL NO
3.Get a life
