Brazilian researchers have found that a molecule in the venom of a type of snake inhibited coronavirus reproduction in monkey cells, a possible first step toward a drug to combat the virus causing Covid-19.
A study published in the scientific journal Molecules this month found that the molecule produced by the jararacussu pit viper inhibited the virus's ability to multiply in monkey cells by 75 per cent.
"We were able to show this component of snake venom was able to inhibit a very important protein from the virus," said Rafael Guido, a University of Sao Paulo professor and an author of the study. The molecule is a peptide, or chain of amino acids, that can connect to an enzyme of the coronavirus called PLPro, which is vital to reproduction of the virus, without hurting other cells.
Okay, lets lave the Viper Venom jab!...................
HAVE..............
I keep snakebite medicine around just for such contingencies.
Aside from that....
Just a few bugs to work out.
I posted something on this a few days ago. Can’t remember details other than it was a something similar or same as rattle snake venom...and people were talking about using anti snake bite medicine..except that runs about 3 grand a vial
Exactly what snake bite medicine do you keep for emergencies?
Used in Lisinopril-Ace inhibitor.
We already have 4 vaccines and at least 3 medications that greatly reduce the virus’ capabilities if you get it. But it never hurts I guess to find more.
Of course, now we’ll here stories about people dying because they went out to the woods to get bit by snakes hoping to get immunity from covid.
I keep a variety depending on the snake. A little Rittenhouse Rye, Evan Williams Bottled-in-Bond and Wild Turkey 101 seems to do the trick for most domestic purposes.
Hey! That’s blood pressure medicine.
What??? You don’t believe in research? This is how great advances in medicine are discovered.
In other words, same as the other “vaccines”.
4 vaccines? In the U.S. I believe we have 3 vaccines we are using. World wide there is Moderna, Pfizer, J&J, AstroZeneca, Sinovac, Sputnik, and I think others. I believe a few other countries have there own, and some other pharmaceutical companies.
I thought you were joking but a quick search shows old time remedy back in the 1800s
whiskey with snake venom

Whiskey was originally used as a medicine, both as an internal anesthetic and an external antibiotic.
one of the articles I glanced at said they used snake root back then in whiskey....whatever that is
