Remarkable footage shows the truly epic scale of the exodus of Afghans fleeing their country to head west.
The almost-biblical scenes of the mass migration across the desert where the borders of Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iran all meet shows an endless river of people flowing between the mountains.
And for British politicians concerned about an influx of migrants to Europe, these images will confirm their worst fears.

That was my thought too. I gather that most of them are actually on their way to Turkey, and the people smugglers are Iranian and meet them at the border to take them on through.
And after Turkey…Europe.
I guess people smuggling is an old established “profession” in those parts.
I went through several border points in Austria and Hungary last month. They were searching all the vehicles, especially the contents of trucks trying to block immigrants to the European Union.
