New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell on Tuesday imposed a citywide curfew from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. beginning Tuesday night as the city remained without power and residents struggled to find gasoline and other essentials.
The announcement came with just three hours notice, but Cantrell characterized the curfew as a "proactive" public safety measure. New Orleans Police Chief Shaun Ferguson said officers have made "several" looting arrests and said it was not widespread, but he refused to disclose how many there had been.
Ferguson said he was withholding the number of arrests to prevent "a false narrative about this city."

Facts are not a narrative, they’re just facts. You conceal facts to support a narrative.
She doesn’t know how many arrests for looting they’ve made. They probably haven’t made many. Police probably just look the other way most of the time.
They are not going to waste a lot of time jailing looters when they’ve got bigger problems on their hands, armed gangs and fires come to mind.
You can restock a city, if you still have a city.
Better get that power back on.

They will need a heavy presence of the National Guard in the streets if they still want to have a city in 30 days.
And if they don’t figure that out, and they wait a week to send in the Guard, then the Guard is going to have to fight their way in because criminal gangs will have taken over.
