While the United States and the rest of the world were focused on Afghanistan, Turkey carried out airstrikes that hit genocide survivors in Iraq and members of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) — allies who led the fight against ISIS. ...
On Aug. 16 in Sinjar, a Turkish drone killed Yazidi leader Hassan Saeed on the day he was scheduled to meet with Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Khadimi. It was the first visit of an Iraqi prime minister to Sinjar in the post-Saddam era.
When ISIS attacked in 2014, Hassan refused to abandon his community and helped to distribute aid to Yazidis who sought refuge from ISIS on Mount Sinjar. ... He later helped create the Sinjar Resistance Units (YBS)...YBS members are paid salaries by Baghdad...
...In Syria, Turkey hit multiple cities: Qamishli, Ain Issa, and Tel Tamer, which is part of the Assyrian Christian region along the Khabur river. Four members of the SDF were killed by Turkish strikes in Syria — including a prominent Kurdish commander of the Women’s Protection Units, Sosin Ahmed....
...The escalation of Turkish attacks in Syria and Iraq presents U.S. policymakers with a stark choice. Do we allow Turkey to continue its destabilizing operations? Or do we allow survivors of genocide a chance to rebuild and recover?

We are too weakened to be of much help to ourselves ....let alone another.
America must now coalesce as a 1776 mindset and re-claim our liberty and freedom from the ones embedded within.
OK, we screwed up .... but we don't have to stay screwed up
True..
First step must be a constitutional convention with the specific purpose to repeal the 17th Amendment.
Time to restore the Republic and end the uniparty
Go with the Convention Of States already being worked on. It has 15 states signed so far.
If Turkey attacked Syria from the rear, would Greece help?
That's exactly what I don't mean.
We don't have time to authorize a Constitution Convention, nor to listen to arguments from two sides and etcetera.
We're still waiting for Arizona after enough time for the biden administration to castrate us publicly.
We've been meeting (well, I have anyway) here in FR since the late 90's watching and discussing the enemy of America.
We already know what to do.
A lot of times, people get upset when a poster excerpts. I want to thank you for doing so. It’s easy to get to the full article via the link. But your excerpting was salient enough that I’ll be able to read the abbreviation in church today.
The persecution and murder of Christians is kept obscure in this country. We like to do our part to counter that.
BTW, Turkey needs to be kicked out of NATO, like, 20 years ago.
We know what to do.
We need to repeal RCV wherever it’s in use.
And go back to dumb voting machines.
And we’d damn well better step on it.
Nature abhors a vacuum.
Well said.
And here’s an interesting question...
If NYC is so reliably loony lib and a lost cause, why was RCV recently shoved down its throat...?
Note to folks left in NYC: If you folks still love your city, you need to get off your a$$es and repeal this crap. And get rid of those damn RCV-enabled voting machines.
Maine and Alaska have RCV.
And guess which state is trying...
Wyoming.
What a coinkydink, eh?

I see what you did there...
Not our problem any more, as Biden is hinting at a pull out of Iraq also
I’d prefer the 19th be repealed.
There always seems to be some Republicant or Uniparty hack... who brings up the 19th Amendment when the discussion of repealing the Seventeenth Amendment occurs.
Coincidence....?
Must be a bush bot
And what is the big plan that’s been under way for 21+ years?
Just curious... lots of keyboard warriors
It’s the same mechanism. Constitutional Convention or Convention of States it’s the same.
I do not support the current Convention of states political action group. It has too many Republicant retreads and uniparty players. They want to impose term limits.
Term limits only give the uniparty more power.. unelected bureaucrats also known as the senior executive service will then go on and absolute Rampage with term limits
A Convention of states with the sole purpose of removing the 17th amendment is the only way to restore a republic
