More than three-quarters of these unions are with a white partner. For more and more Americans, racial integration is embedded in their closest relationships.

One in every nine babies born in the U.S. today will be raised in a mixed minority-and-white family, and this group is steadily growing. These children have kin networks—including grandparents, aunts and uncles, and cousins—that include both white people and minorities. Among Latinos, identifying as white or as simply “American” is common, and belies the notion that Latinos should be classified monolithically as nonwhite.

America’s racial groups are blending now more than ever.

40 percent of Americans who say they are white also will claim a minority racial or ethnic identity.

Agreed, and the GOP has done a piss poor job of advancing its ideology. Race is irrelevant. The American Dream and the promise of America is for everyone. The GOP doesn’t properly respond to attacks against the right for whatever reason.

I have never believed that African Americans and Hispanics are “natural” Democrats. Bull crap. People want more or less the same things. Peace in the home, opportunity, prosperity, and limited intrusion into their lives. Some are religious, some are not, but a purist view of what the GOP stands for calls for a government that lets individuals pursue their own happiness and their own destinies. They don’t need government except to protect their opportunities. They don’t need to be told what to do by government.

And for what it is worth, I concede it is just anecdotal, but I have traveled extensively throughout these Unites States and nowhere do I see more interracial couples than in the south. Not in the cities like LA or NY. But in Alabama and Kentucky.

The media and education establishments perpetuate a myth - perhaps at the behest of the Democratic party or what they think will advance their party’s interest - but it is more of a fairly tale than the American Dream. The American Dream is real you can go anywhere in America and see that people from all over the world have succeeded, or on the path to success. The Democrats and their far left wing want to destroy that because the success of ethnic minorities destroys their demagoguery and harms their personal interests. They get paid for perpetuating the myth that America is racist. Properly deployed, America is the place where anyone from anywhere can make a good life for themselves and their kin. Anyone who opposes this, directly or indirectly, is my enemy.

Many people that are mostly of European stock, look European, and were raised in a standard culturally European-American household will check some “minority” box on the census.

So this “below 60% White” country is functionally more like 75% + white.

Agreed 100%. Take those categories off the Census and other forms.

Nothing wrong with us personally identifying as one thing or another. No matter who we are, or where our ancestors emigrated from, we all can appreciate our ancestors and carry on their traditions. But, the US Gov should not be putting people into categories based on appearances.

In the 1970 Census the American establishment created a new category of people called Hispanics.

This group of people got merged with “people of color”(a liberal racist term) until the 2020 Census.

The new 2020 Census gave Hispanic peoples at least 4 or 5 categories to check instead of just one in 1970.

The white college educated liberals that are destroying California, Oregon, and Washington State think that importing foreigners will give them a decisive demographic advantage over their “rural enemies.”

Those educated urban liberals will be sorely disappointed over the next decade. Their miscalculation will be historic.

So Muslim Tatars, Turks, Bosnians, Albanians are "white" according to you?

What about the Kalmyks - who have lived in Europe since the 1300s or the Gypsies? Are they "white" to you?

the English are another example of a Mutt nation - with pre-Celtic peoples who married into the Celtic peoples who came in the 500s BC (the builders of Stonehenge were not Celts, not Indo-European/Aryan but related to the ancestors of the Basques)

This mutt people then intermarried with Angles, with Saxons, with Jutes, with Danes, with Normans, with Gallic French, with Huguenots, etc. etc.

The only "pure" races would be:

1. Khoi-san people
2. pygmy peoples
3. Jarawas
4. Amazonian lost tribes

incidentally the Bantu speaking Africans (blacks) are closer to Irish and Swedes and Japanese than they are to the pygmies or Khoi-san, genetically speaking!!

I have a completely multiracial family. This includes white, African, mixed African/white, mixed white and Chinese, mixed white/Chinese/Mexican, Christian, Christian/Jewish, and soon a Native America. This article is correct. No body is hostile to one another, and I see no reason to believe that there will be hostility in the future, nor will they all become Dems.
