“Telling private businesses what to do is communism”

In 1955, yeah. But today, businesses openly trade with communist China. They push for every single principle of Marxism in America. They support BLM financially. They support Antifa.

So spare me the lectures about how we are communist for preventing more of their depredations on the American people.

She is correct. Just let it be. Let businesses make their own decisions. If they fail businesses from their own choices then its their fault.

You do not have to make a law for that. It is how we kept on piling laws overtop of other laws.

I am totally with her. As long as the State and her does not mandate then let things be the way they are.

She’s come undone.

Actually, she is wrong.

The current “vaccines” (whether fully approved for a given age group or not) have NO published and understood negative reaction data. NONE.

Informed consent is not a slippery slope. UNinformed consent is slick as snot on a doorknob. Right now, with the apparent underreporting of adverse vaccine reactions, there is no way a consumer can have informed consent.

Therefore, the legislation is required to protect the right to informed consent.

I never took the bait on her. She stinks of the Chamber of Commerce cronyism.

Can a company require a woman not get pregnant as it would cost the company money? Can they demand everyone over 50 get routine colonoscopie? Woman get routine pelvic exams? Men get prostate exams? If you want to talk about public health how about banning sharing or bringing in food for others? That could cause a massive food borne illness case.

I agree, telling a company they cant do something that is not in the law is the same as telling to do a thing that is not in the law. Either way, whether you agree with it or not, it is a business decision. Smaller government.

I’m with you. Allowing government to write laws for or against these actions “is” a slippery slope.

I would say “Yes” to everything you posted.

Ironically, the U.S. government opened the door to that nonsense when it imposed the employer mandate under ObamaCare.

If the government is going to force me as a business owner to provide health insurance for my employees, you can be damn sure I will do whatever is necessary in the hiring process to minimize those costs.

Her opinion is correct in this case. I’ve worked as a contractor in the oilfields and have seen all kinds of mandates from private companies that I didn’t agree with. The words Private Company are supposed to mean just that.

It is stupid. But it’s not her business, either. It’s stupid on the part of the company that mandates it.

I would be more open to it if the companies accepted liability for their demand.

So if they injure or kill an employee... The company is 100% liable.
