The US Capitol Police officer who shot and killed pro-Trump rioter Ashli Babbitt on January 6 will not face any disciplinary action, the department said Monday.

"USCP's Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR) determined the officer's conduct was lawful and within Department policy, which says an officer may use deadly force only when the officer reasonably believes that action is in the defense of human life, including the officer's own life, or in the defense of any person in immediate danger of serious physical injury," the department said in a statement.

The officer will not be named, the department said, out of consideration for the officer's safety.

"This officer and the officer's family have been the subject of numerous credible and specific threats," the department said.

An unarmed woman teetering on a window sill was a danger to him?

Hahahahahahahahaha!

He better look out for any old people in wheelchairs down the block.

I can’t think of a single state where you’d be allowed to get away with a ‘mystery’ cop who shot someone.

The Capitol Police investigated the Capitol Police, and found that the Capitol Police did nothing wrong.

What a surprise that is.

Of course not - If you're a cop you can shoot an unarmed conservative protester from time to time without any consequences. Cops carry out the will of the government. the government wants all conservatives and especially those who believe that the constitution LIMITS the power of government to drop dead. The cop did what was expected of him. It might have been a different story if he'd shot an antifa protester.

Nobody killed the pinko protestors who occupied Wisconsin’s capitol building in 2011.

The election protestors in 2021 certainly didn’t expect to be murdered when entering our nation’s capitol.

Who’s surprised? Shooter is black (protected class) and the victim wasn’t some violent black thug.

It’s ridiculous. Where are the Republicans? She shouldn’t have been shot, and the media doesn’t cover it like they would if a liberal was shot.

Bet he would pay if he were white. Probably goes to bed and says...Dear God...Thank you for making me black and then laughs because he got away with murder.

So, cold-blooded murder is OK for the US Capitol Police/Gestapo/KGB?

Nothing says transparent investigation like having the Capital Police investigate their own then not only clear him, but keep him unnamed.

Everyone responsible for clearing him should be charged as accomplices after the fact to commit murder

Earlier his apologists said “We concluded there was no other action he could have taken. He had no choice.”

What if a law enforcement officer in a city tried to stop a lunatic from slashing his ex wife to death in her kitchen? “He should have de-escalated emotions by talking to the assailant instead of shooting him.” Officer was suspended and then tried in civil court.

Note: this Washtenaw County, Michigan case last year involved a group of black people who state “our group does not recognize and does not have to follow the laws of the United States.” A major highway and the freeway entrances and exits were closed off the next day by a protest of around 100 sign carrying supporters. A few weeks later a new police review board of citizen oversight was approved and put into action.

The guy is an immigrant? From where?

He’s doing real well to be wearing cuffs and cuff links. And he gets to carry a weapon in DC. How good is that.
