The U.S. government sent a notice to Americans trying to escape Afghanistan after a rapid takeover by the Taliban over the weekend, telling them to make their way to the airport in Kabul, but that it could not guarantee their security on the way there.
A congressional aide told CBS News there were no partners left in Afghanistan to safely get the 10- to 15,000 Americans trapped around the country to the capital of Kabul.
Instead, a note went out to American citizens requesting to be evacuated from Afghanistan that said:
To American Citizens,
Thank you for registering your request to be evacuated from Afghanistan. The U.S. Embassy in Afghanistan has confirmed that an undefined number of U.S. government-provided flights will begin soon. Please make your way to Hamid Karzai International Airport at this time.
It said in bold and capitalized letters:
PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT CANNOT GUARANTEE YOUR SECURITTY AS YOU MAKE THIS TRIP.
According to White House press secretary Jen Psaki on Tuesday, there are more than 11,000 American citizens trapped in the country. However, this was “self-identifying” Americans only.

Biden’s most important Job = FAILURE
A number one job of an American president and government is to protect American Americans wherever they might be, especially if they work for the US government or US government contractors. Abandoning them in Afghanistan should be impeachable treason.
I would think the Taliban wants Americans out alive...as for the Afghans there who want out I say it is probably zero

If they go off and leave American citizens trapped in Kabul that’s the last straw. Somebody will need to hang from a light post on Pennsylvania Ave. 😣

The US Army doesn’t have a bridge, but we did have Bagram Air Base, which, unbelievably, we abandoned with no notice on July 2, leaving us with only an urban air strip in the middle of Kabul.
Considering Khadaffi loyalists got the American’s out of Benghazi, I wouldn’t count on anyone in this administration to get them out.

Sure, we know that the Biden regime royally screwed this whole thing up, but if I were commanding forces in Afghanistan during this time and a complete joke of a “president” such as Biden issued such idiotic orders, I would do what was right first and foremost and slow-walk the military withdrawal long enough to protect the civilians trying to flee.
But then again, after witnessing the antics and outright cowardice of many of our military “leaders”, I’m not sure we really have a functioning military anymore.

At least they can rest assured that their survivors will be able to collect a rather substantial settlement seeing as how they are there as government hires.
