Root cause of most gun violence is drugs. Drug dealers, drug turf wars, people who rob drug dealers, drug dealer shooter revenge shooters, the occasional addict who shoots a store clerk for drug money, and the drug-addled paranoid mind be it prescription drugs or otherwise.

The root ‘cause’ is liberalism. Creating and maintaining hordes of dependent ignorant people to bus to the voting both whenever they need them.
Arresting and jailing criminals is the answer. Unfortunately in urban areas, this means jailing a large number of blacks. This is not possible any longer so we get a non-stop barrage of calls for gun control when criminal control is the answer.

What we have here is someone with zero grasp of “correlation”. If, in 2016, gun ‘recoveries’ go up by 25% and homicides increase by 60%, and in 2020 both go up by about 50%, and in other years *both* numbers go *down*, and these are the only examples that the reporter thinks are necessary to convey the relevant information, then there is a clear positive correlation between the numbers.
So much for “the fact is, there is no correlation”.
Anyone who tries to "deal with gun violence" without carrying out highly punitive measures against the perpetrators should be ignored because they have the mentality of a pre-schooler.

The obvious root cause of gun violence is Black violence. That’s the same root cause of knife violence, brawling violence, school violence, even airplane violence. It’s time to face reality and stop dancing around the obvious.
