Well we could all be like Robert Reich and get a job paid by taxpayers at the University of California. Then inflation won't be a problem

Why bother reading? Inflation is real, and will likely hit double digits, if initial price increases for some items are any indication (up to 40%!).
To: artichokegrower
Paying them “enough” sounds great but will increase inflation more.

Reissssshhhhh should know better.
In fact he probably does, and is spouting this nonsense to be malicious.

I think of Rush’s pronunciation with the elongated shhhhhhhh at the end. Reich hasn’t gotten smarter since those days.

Reich is brilliant.
If everyone was paid a billion dollars a year there would be no inflation!

What a full-on idiot. He is getting paid $350k a year to spew ideas that have actual negative value.

It means we need to invest in things that outrun inflation. There are such things.
But you have to have available funds to invest or you are doomed to be just a victim of inflation, rather than one who benefits from it.

Ah yes, more Keynesian policies at work. How about really getting into it with price controls or the Ministry of Silly walks even?

The real worry is the gap between what the country produces and what average folks can afford to consume. And how is "what the country produces" increased, Robbie?
By raising the cost of producing it?

The bottom ladder jobs had the wages going up because of a shortage of people to fill them. Flooding the market with unskilled illegals puts a stop to that.

If manufacturing could be recaptured, wages would rise dramatically. Shutting down domestic oil production is a slap in the face to Americans, Real Americans, not imports.

The USA always offered opportunity but never equity or equality.
Work for it if you want to earn it.
Inflation eats away at the rewards of your efforts.
