Dallas joins Austin, San Antonio and Houston in defying Abbotts order.

And I plan on ignoring the mask required idiots. My governor has NOT required these silly useless face diapers, and I’m not wearing one.

Since when do judges create laws or mandates?

The “judge” in some of these positions in Texas is an elected position comparable to a county administrator or commissioner in other states. It’s not a judge on a court bench.

County judges in Texas are the bosses over concerns like this. Like a small town sheriff, or the president of an HOA - they are on a power mad ego trip.

He isn’t a judge, just a administrator.
The position comes with the title.

In Texas, county judge is an executive position.

In Texas a “county judge” is the chief executive of the county.

Over the past four months I know of five acquaintances, all of whom were fanatical mask-wearers, who have contracted serious cases of pneumonia.

Breathing your own bacterial exhale can do that!

“Businesses that don’t comply within three days could face a fine of up to $1,000 for each violation...”

Oh? Who’s gonna turn ‘em in? Karens? Who’s gonna pay any attention to them?

Maybe he’s gonna be like Teddy Roosevelt and do some late night snooping himself - and maybe he’ll run into someone with a weapon and an attitude towards white folks...

He’s a piece of work. Thinks he’s the president of Dallas.

Clay Ebola* Jenkins?

*IIRC, he’s the one who grandstanded about the brief Ebola crisis in Dallas by going into Thomas Duncan’s apartment unprotected.

We need our own version of Antifa to visit the judge.

You’re forcing businesses to be Karens & fine them if they don’t.

Exactly. The laws of the various states give this authority to various entities—governors, mayors, health departments and the like. Never heard of it being left to a judge; most are attorneys, not epidemiologists.
