Come join Clay and Buck every weekday from noon to three eastern time. The show and it's hosts are "inspired by Limbaugh" to move forward and deliver a good show five days a week. Check your local listings because some IHeart stations replay portions of the show on the weekend.
At least for me personally, that show needs to reconsider its pacing.
Not much of a fan. Mark Steyn was much better. Closer to the Rush paradigm
To my way of thinking Clay Travis is a drag on Buck Sexton. Travis is a shallow thinker and Buck is a bit better but not a whole lot better but better. I gave their show a month and now I can't stand to hear them anymore, specially that light weight Clay Travis. He's just loud and obnoxious. And I agree that Steyn is much better overall.
Is Clay still a pro-abort?
I try to listen when I can, but I don’t have an opinion on them. I think talk radio is dying, since we have podcasting.
Ken Matthews was pretty good too.
It may sound weird but I still miss the Maharishi.
Can’t tell which one is talking. Especially, when they sound the same. Mark Steyn always did a great job filling in for Rush.
Unfortunately for the FR demographic, the new show wants to appeal to a much younger audience. Haven’t looked up ratings to see if it’s working.
I can take ‘em or leave ‘em.
INSPIRED BY RUSH AND CONNECTING WITH LISTENERS
Clay Travis and Buck Sexton host The Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Show, a new three-hour talk radio program that launched on June 21, 2021 on hundreds of radio stations nationwide.
The duo broadcasts Monday through Friday from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. ET – the legendary timeslot held by “The Rush Limbaugh Show” for more than three decades.
Each day on the program, Travis and Sexton carry on a new form of broadcast excellence in the tradition of the late radio icon as they tackle the biggest stories in news, politics and current events with intelligence and humor.
Together, they guide listeners through the latest headlines and hot topics with fun and entertaining conversations and opinions.
Not weird at all my FRiend.
Rush was always thought provoking and found a silver lining in bad news. I find these guys boring, Mark Steyn or Bongino are a better listen, in my opinion.
Also, their voices just sound very similar to my damned yankee ears. Same pacing, same intonations, etc.. The rapid back and forth just almost sounds like one guy talking, but spliced together to eliminate normal natural pauses, etc..
Smart guys, but I can take them only in small doses.
Glad it's not just me!
While I get listeners affection for Mark Steyn, I do not get his humor, to me he isn’t funny but he was on the issues
Rush was a smart man and he knew when to talk and when to let the smart people in his audience talk. Clay and Buck are smart, but they need to take more phone calls from smart people.
They’re like sports broadcasters...they never shut up. They even voice most of the commercials. They don’t allow their callers to make their points the way Rush did. Not only are they not a good “replacement” for Rush (as if), they aren’t even very good substitutes.
Steyn would be much better, but for whatever reason I guess he didn’t want the job, or perhaps it wasn’t even offered.
