JACKSON, MI – A sign at a Michigan Burger King restaurant encouraging people to honk if they’re against wearing masks and getting a COVID-19 vaccination is being investigated by the corporation.
The sign in front of the building on East Michigan Avenue in Jackson displayed a message Aug. 5 that read, “Honk if you are against forced mask & forced jab.”
“We’ve been in communication with the franchisee who is further investigating this incident,” a corporate Burger King spokesperson said in a statement. “Protecting the health and safety of team members and guests has been our top priority since the beginning of the pandemic.”
The sign had been changed Aug. 6 to read, “Open interviews Monday 3 PM.”
The restaurant’s manager refused to comment on the sign.
Some cars passing by the Burger King on Thursday, however, could be heard honking their horns in support of the sign’s message. Inside the restaurant, equal numbers of employees were and weren’t wearing masks.
Currently, Burger King requires all team members to wear masks in the restaurant, regardless of vaccination status, in areas of substantial or high transmission as defined by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, according to the corporate spokesperson.
Jackson County is one of 24 counties listed with a substantial COVID-19 transmission rate, according to CDC data as of Aug. 4.
Masks aren't healthy.
Forced jabs aren't safe.

The Burger King Regional Headquarters may be sending a few emails to this franchisee. They will be marked as “Urgent!”

This sign is anything BUT anti-mask and anti-vaccine. It is solely about the forcing of it.
Perfectly possible the sign author wears a mask and is vaccinated.
If Burger King wanted to protect the health of their guests, they would eliminate most of the menu.
