Over the last year, teachers and administrators nationwide have weaponized K-12 education, injecting progressive politics into classrooms, and indoctrinating students with novel social justice dogma, including theories that call for racialized curriculums and reverse discrimination to achieve racial equity.
Mainstream media outlets and left-wing commentators have accused conservatives of demonizing critical race theory, and turning an obscure academic theory into a rightwing “bogeyman.” But there sure are a lot of examples of it turning up in schools across the country, from big city Democratic strongholds to suburban districts in red America. The following are summaries of just a small number of the fights that have erupted in the last year.
Fairfax County Schools Sent Second Graders a Video Vilifying Police: ‘I Feel Safe When There Are No Police’
Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) sent second-graders a “summer learning guide” in July which included a Youtube video titled “Woke Kindergarten” that vilified the police.
Centered around the importance of “feeling safe,” the video, which was obtained by Parents Defending Education, presents a slideshow of photos featuring groups of young African Americans, some of whom are holding Black Lives Matter signs.
“We deserve to feel safe in our homes… I feel safe when there are no police. And it’s no one’s job to tell me how I feel. But it’s everyone’s job to make sure that people who are being treated unfairly……feel safe too,” a narrator says.

This whole thing is totally out of control.
Another student says: “But I feel safe when there ARE police around. And it’s no one’s job to tell ME how I feel!”
That student is then told they aren’t allowed to feel that way.
The parents then get involved, they tell the teachers they treated their child unfairly, the teachers retort that only certain races are treated unfairly, no objective, verifiable evidence is given to substantiate their Sweeping Generalization claim that only certain races are ever treated unfairly (for how can you do this)?
It’s more of the ongoing attempts at reeducating society that gender is a social construct, there are no norms, believe what you want and how you feel, truth is relative, and on and on as long as those “truths” are allowed by the Ministry of Truth.
My skin color isn’t a crime.
SMH.
You know how it ends?? Parents band together and demand a curriculum which teaches kids that teachers are pedophiles and sexual predators.
If they are going to vilify all police because of the actions of a stupid few then parents must demand all teachers are vilified as pedophiles/sexual predators because of the actions of a few teachers who have illegal/illicit sex with minors.
Watch how quickly things change or stop dead in their tracks.
Is Fairfax County rural?
City?
These CRT scumbags are racial predators.
CRT is Mein Kampf for blacks.
Parents need to want their children about teachers.
They need to go all Loudoun County on the school board.
We’re also inching closer to when parents will need to put serious fear in these Marxists.
What sinister globalist plans are afoot.
So they get asked “Who said it was a crime?”
They respond with “You don’t know what I’ve been through.”
They are then asked to prove that they were unjustly discriminated against.
They respond then with anecdotal evidence and if you don’t believe all of it, 100%, then you’re a racist.
Both.
where’s that, in a gated community?
Mostly suburban with some sections that resemble urban areas. Like a northern New Jersey county except newer development. I wonder what the Fairfax County Police think of this. Or do they know yet?
Washington DC suburb.
It is impossible for others to control how you feel. How a person feels should not be a concern of public policy.
Actual safety requires cooperation between police and members of society. When trust in the police is destroyed, either by the public or the police or both, safety is significantly diminished as crime rises.
Feelings make for bad public policy.
When I was in the second grade, they taught us “The police are your friends.” My mother told me that if I ever got lost, to find a policeman and tell him. She introduced me to the policeman just outside the schoolhouse and told me that he was my friend. He had a gun. I asked if I could touch it. He said no, but he was very kind and nice.
the only thing left to do in this communist take over of America is to start defending our country the hard way. And no, I’m not a white supremacist, I’m an American patriot!
CRT is being pushed by radical leftists of all colors. It is not primarily a black issue. The last academic level discussion I had on the issue was with a black seminary professor who certainly didn’t agree with CRT.
He had a story of an encounter with a white liberal woman who assumed he was left of center while he was at the grocery. He was amused by her racist assumptions.
