If you’re going to Home Depot, you will have to wear a mask once again, regardless of your vaccination status.
With the spread of the Delta variant of COVID-19, the national home-improvement chain announced Monday they are requiring all associates, contractors and vendors to wear masks while indoors at all U.S. Home Depot stores, distribution centers, and offices, as well as in customers’ homes and businesses.
Home Depot is also asking customers to wear masks while in their stores, and the company will continue to offer masks to those who don’t have one.
“Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, our number one concern has been for the health and safety of our customers and associates,” the company said in a statement released Monday.
Home Depot strongly encourages its employees to get the COVID-19 vaccine and offers free resources to cover childcare, transportation and finding an appointment, according to the statement.
Maybe they don’t want to get sued by someone who catches WuFlu from some recently arrived illegal in the parking lot, now that SloJo is shipping them to every town big enough to have a Home Depot.
Not in my local Home Depot yesterday morning.

Lowe’s has the same policy. BTW, you should read the article carefully. Customers maybe asked to wear a mask but HD doesn’t make them. Just like Lowes and Walmart.
Lowe’s, my first thought also.
The best civil disobedience is to simply not wear a mask. Guarantee if you are at Home Depot without a mask, there will be at least one masked customer who quietly removes theirs as well because they now feel just a little more emboldened to do so.
What it boils down to is what amounts a lawyer’s consensus.
If employees get Covid, regardless of the source, they can sue their employer.
If they wear masks while working, the employer has protected them from getting covid at work. If the employee gets covid, he cannot sue the employer.
As always, lawyers seeking illicit money from bogus lawsuit are at the root of the issue
A lot of stores I’ve been in over the last couple of months
have allowed customers in with no mask but they require their
employees to be masked. An many wear gloves while stocking
the shelves.
That’s what I did for the whole time, nobody had the parts.
Or maybe put on a Darth Vader costume, and bring Blue Tooth speaker to play the accompanying music, for shopping days?
FYI-Masks do NOTHING to protect from viruses.
And tying a dirty cloth to your child's face does NOTHING to protect them from viruses.
WE ARE BEING LIED TO. WAKE UP!
Wish I shopped there so I could stop shopping there, but already did so long ago....
And isn’t it interesting that Home Depot would rather muzzle its customers and employees than demand Deep State provide it with the same kind of liability protection Deep State gives so-called public health employees....
I just tell them I have a condition.
Anapnoi Physiologici
It’s bastardized Greek for “natural breathing.” But sounds medical-y.
If Home Depot doesn’t specify the use of N95 respirators I believe they should be sued. Every other type of mask is simply an article of clothing without any measurable benefit.
Regarding the demand.......
I believe that has already been attempted and only works at the state level. There is not the raw political power to defeat the trial lawyers in their attack on America
Actually, we don’t really know what corporate America is plotting
I’m making a list, and checking it twice, for all the stores that are naughty (requiring masks) or nice (allowing me to choose).

I can understand an employee filing suit if the employer prohibited masks but what if the employer allowed/encouraged the employee to wear masks.
Of course, an employee could sue if the employer allowed unmasked persons to enter the facility and the employee became infected.
This is really a problem caused by not allowing the employer to police who enters by requiring proof of vaccination. If the employer merely posts a sign that unvaccinated must wear a mask, you know that many unvaccinated will ignore the sign and enter without a mask anyway. The employer really doesn’t have a good option except mandate masks.
Our dentist just sent us an email to mask up. Soon all the grocery stores will be doing it.
First of all, thank you for your service.
I stopped going to HD when they stopped giving me the 5% Lowes match when I used my HD credit card.
Now, the only time I go there is when they send me a 10% coupon in the mail. The last time I was there was when the mulch was on sale for $2/bag. I bought 3 pickup truck loads with the additional 10% coupon on top of their sale price.
This makes it cheaper than buying it loose in bunk from the local landscape supply companies.
You miss the point....... lawyers troll for covid patients to find an employer to sue. The lawsuit becomes extortion
The employer pays up to make the lawyer go away.
People, why do you go to Home Depot at all?
I try to give my business to the local independent lumber yards and hardware stores. Going to Home Depot and Lowes is like doing all your shopping at Walmart and Amazon.
I understand that in many places those two home centers MAY be your only option. However, please try to support your local independent lumber yards and hardware stores. These people are the salt of the earth types. Many of them are 2nd and 3rd generation owners. Almost all of them are conservative. Not too many liberals in the lumber industry.
