Correction-—Nawlins USED to be a great place to visit. It’s been going down hill quickly over the past decade. It used to be my favorite city——not anymore.

I was about five blocks from there visiting my son and his fiancée. Urban squalor. We drove right through that particular intersection. Some sort of fag parade had been going on.

In my younger partying days (around 20-30 years ago) I loved going to New Orleans. I had to to there for work 2-4 weeks at a time. Had some great times. The only time I felt unsafe in the Quarter was when I was drunk driving. Things change.

I haven’t been there since the 60’s. French Quarter was a great fun place then. Unique amongst American cities, it had a quaint aire all it’s own...almost like a bawdy European city. Felt like you were in a foreign country. Great jazz musicians...Al Hirt, Pete Fountain, Louis Armstrong and countless others. But that was when America was still America. Still love the cajun/bayou/zydeco culture though in the nearby parishes.

In New Orleans, crime increased dramatically in 2020 and the trend is continuing for 2021.Violent crimes such as shootings, armed robberies, car jackings and murder are significantly higher this year.

Why should New Orleans be any different from any other major US city?

A 15-year-old boy was the shooter in the Iberville Street incident. The victims were also teenagers.

Urban youths settling their differences.

:Just another day” was also my first thought. However, reporters like ‘drama’ so people running down a street when shots fired makes good front page news.

The city is 60% black so what do you expect??? Most blacks are violent and impulsive people so this is only going to get worse. Nearly 80% of blacks are born our of wedlock and there is no father figure to make sure the offspring know how to behave. More and more are being raised by grandparents who were also illegitimate whereas a few years ago, grandparents tended to have grown up in two-parent households. The problem is going to get much worse.

But don’t forget what happened THERE this weekend, with Chris Ardoin’s shooting.

The professional types ended up in Atlanta.

The trash were bussed to Houston.

There were 3 particular violent young men who ended up in Houston. HPD put a bounty out on them . Essentially told the Houston gangs that if they want to collect, they needed to hunt them down. After a couple of days, they went back to NOLA.
