Correction-—Nawlins USED to be a great place to visit. It’s been going down hill quickly over the past decade. It used to be my favorite city——not anymore.

In my younger partying days (around 20-30 years ago) I loved going to New Orleans. I had to to there for work 2-4 weeks at a time. Had some great times. The only time I felt unsafe in the Quarter was when I was drunk driving. Things change.

I haven’t been there since the 60’s. French Quarter was a great fun place then. Unique amongst American cities, it had a quaint aire all it’s own...almost like a bawdy European city. Felt like you were in a foreign country. Great jazz musicians...Al Hirt, Pete Fountain, Louis Armstrong and countless others. But that was when America was still America. Still love the cajun/bayou/zydeco culture though in the nearby parishes.
