ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — A day after it recorded the most new daily cases since the start of the pandemic, Florida on Sunday broke a previous record for current hospitalizations, as the number of patients in hospitals because of COVID-19 once again broke through the 1,000-person threshold.
The Sunshine State had 10,207 people hospitalized with confirmed COVID-19 cases, according to data reported to the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services.
The previous record was from more than a year ago, July 23, 2020, more than a half-year before vaccinations started becoming widespread, when Florida had 10,170 hospitalizations, according to the Florida Hospital Association.
Florida is now leading the nation in per capita hospitalizations for COVID-19, as hospitals around the state report having to put emergency room visitors in beds in hallways and others document a noticeable drop in the age of patients.
In the past week, Florida has averaged 1,525 adult hospitalizations a day, and 35 daily pediatric hospitalizations. Both are the highest per capita rate in the nation, according to Jason Salemi, an associate professor of epidemiology at the University of South Florida.

The number is skewed anyway because we only put in our data once a week, so this is cumulative.

My thoughts exactly! All reporting going forward needs to ask how many vaxxed breakthroughs? How many unvaxxed? How many previous covid reinfections? Not a word about hospitals filling up with people whose natural immunity waned. Give us the data!
If it’s mostly vaxed or equal to unvaxed, likely ADE. The data is starting to point to that happening - virologist/epidemiologists worst case scenario. BTW, if it IS ADE, evidently that is harder to treat ... something I wasn’t aware of until I heard Dr. Malone on War Room Saturday.

Due to a lack of credibility I simply don’t believe the numbers being released are the whole story.
Why if there is “an increase in young kids being admitted” are there no numbers? An “increase can mean anything. If during the original CV scamdemic there were 3 kids admitted and this varient has caused 4 to be hospiutilized then that constitutes and increase.
To me when specifics are lacking then the probable cause is bullsh*t pure and simple.
And of course there is a large political aspect to this because DeSantis is probably the most popular Gov in America at this point and the Communists...err I mean Democrats can’t have that can they?

July is a hot month in Florida. It's hotter than in June - check the data (I did). Yes, warmer weather means being outdoors and getting vitamin D etc. But if there is TOO much heat and sun, people go back inside to A/C and recirculated air and less sunlight etc.
I think this is simply a seasonal uptick.
There are now 4 safe and effective treatments of the Wuhan virus; high-dose vitamin C, hydroxychloroquine+zinc, ivermectin, and nebulized hydrogen peroxide, and any one of them could almost eliminate both hospitalizations and fatalities. The criminal incompetence of US medicine is mind-boggling and disheartening.
