The insurance companies handling the bankruptcy of the former Remington Arms Company made a $33 million bid this week to escape a specious lawsuit leveled by families of Sandy Hook victims.
Remington’s proposed settlement would provide $3.66 million to relatives of each of the nine victims in the lawsuit, according to Reuters. Even if the families take the offer, any settlement in the case must first be approved by the judge overseeing Remington’s bankruptcy case in Alabama.
Big Green has been fighting this lawsuit for years. Families of nine of the victims of the 2012 massacre brought the case shortly after the incident, but the Connecticut Supreme Court did not rule until 2019 that Remington could not be held liable for selling its AR-type Bushmaster rifle the murderer used to kill 20 children and six adults.

What kind of BS is this? So if some psycho decides to mow down people with his car, Ford is responsible?
No its meant to make firearms too expensive for ordinary people to buy. Then only the wealthy and criminals can get them.
I would love to see lawsuits over that, and there are countless US citizens who have been murdered by illegals. I live on Long Island NY 10 minutes from Brentwood where Obamas “Unaccompanied minors” ended up killing over 30 people, most of them kids as these “unaccompanied minors” were MS-13 gang members from El Salvador.
This is direct evidence of a sitting President who is responsible for the murder of US citizens. He willfully and blatantly violated the law and it resulted in the deaths of 30 people and the media disgustingly kisses his butt while Trump is relentlessly trashed. They just sentenced another one of these bugs to 25 years last month........
Here’s a story of how they butchered two school girls with machetes. Something to remember next time Obama is celebrated.......

You can’t give in just a little bit.
They are dead, as a corporation.
Sell short!
I’m not a believer in lawsuits such as this. It’s so common now that when a tragedy happens where there is loss of life the hunt is on to blame anyone with enough funds to settle.
Yes. The scarier the apparatus looks, the more deadly it is.
Well, now a precedent has been set. Spreading the news doesn’t help either.
You need to read “Mr. Mercedes” by Stephen King.
He’s a raging leftist but he can write.
The book deals with just such a scenario.
YES!
I hate to think what spear chuckers back in the stoned age had to deal with, regulation and weapon-wise.
Asperger’s
Pay out like that is a mistake. That kid’s family did next to nothing to intervene in HIS mental issues or to assure he’d have NO access to weapons
Who manufacturered the ammo?
They are way more guilty.
That gun won’t do squat without ammo.
And if we keep up this line of thought - - -
Who’s finger was on the trigger?
The gun and ammo won’t do squat without that finger.
You only blame the finger on the trigger when the cop is white and the “victim “ is black.
Then expect lawsuits on fast cars, fatty foods, and sugar.
No sarcasm.
We’ve already seen those.
People have sued McDonalds for making them fat.
People have sued Post brand cereals for claiming to be healthy despite their excessive sugar content. Looks like payments started in Nov 2020 on that one.
Porsche and Tesla have both been sued over cars going too fast.
Snapshot has been sued for causing a car accident.
It’s a total mad house.
What happened at SH was terrible.
But this “response” or following action is just as bad.
And where was the father of his deranged child?
Huh.
“Land for peace.”
Stupid.
Whatever happened to “Millions for defense, not one red cent for tribute?”
Buncha legal eagle pussies!
