GENEVA — The World Health Organization says the number of coronavirus deaths globally jumped by 21 percent in the last week.
Most of the 69,000 deaths were reported in the Americas and Southeast Asia. The UN health agency also noted that COVID-19 cases rose by 8 percent worldwide and that there are now nearly 194 million infections.

The responsibility for the amount of death, suffering, and economic loss from this virus should fall squarely on the shoulders of the communist government of China. I have almost zero doubt that this virus came from the Wuhan Institute, and even if it didn’t (extremely unlikely) then the fact the Chinese government let all those infected people fly out of China to various destinations around the world still makes them culpable.
Also, the NIH should have to answer for allowing gain of function research in the first place, and the WHO should have to answer for why they haven’t held the Chinese government responsible.
With tens of thousands of illegal aliens (and who knows how many are covid positive) pouring across our southern border I don’t doubt it.
We hear “cases”, and “percentages”...all are meant to deceive. 4 cases last week could mean 5 this week. Fewer need hospitalization, and no one dies because of covid. Other causes of death are much higher. RUN ! RUN !

Your links are either about cases (who cares?) or just presenting raw numbers (e.g. 159 breakthrough deaths in Illinois... out of 25,886. Also known as 99.4% unvaccinated). In other words, you’re trying to twist the narrative by throwing out a bunch of unimportant or misleading nonsense.
Locate for me a single state where more than 10% of their COVID-19 deaths are among vaccinated persons. Just one. Anywhere in the US. You can’t do it because that doesn’t exist. COVID-19 are almost exclusively among the unvaccinated. Over 99% of the COVID-19 deaths are from unvaccinated people despite the fact that 80% of the over-65 population is fully vaccinated in the US. Those are the people who should be dying. If the vaccine didn’t do anything, 80% of the deaths should be among the vaccinated. Not 0.5%. If the vaccine made things worse, more than 80% of those dying should be fully vaccinated. Not 0.5%.

Not at all. Somewhere between 0.65% to 1% who become infected will die, with a skew toward those who are older and those with certain medical conditions. About 5% will become sick enough to end up in the hospital and around 3% will be sick enough to go to the ICU. Roughly 20% of those who go to the hospital (or around 1% overall) will experience persistent symptoms related to COVID-19 infection for months after the infection is cleared.
If you’re fine with that, personally, then please feel free to roll the dice. But the fact remains that getting vaccinated reduces the risk of COVID-19 death by over 99%.
