WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Sen. Rob Portman of Ohio has asked former President Donald Trump to support the infrastructure deal he’s been negotiating for weeks with the Biden administration and a bipartisan group of U.S. Senators.
Portman said he told Trump the package was consistent with what he tried to achieve as President and that Trump should take some credit for initiating the discussion among Republicans by proposing a $1.5 trillion infrastructure package during his campaign.

Would that be a bad thing?
Hope Trump comes out against it now.
Only if Liz publicly kisses Trump’s butt.
Both this “infrastructure” bill and the reconciliation bill are full of poison.
Kill them both.
This bill is Obamacare 2.0.......a noose around the GOP neck
Which they are helping to knot....
Trump needs to back the “infrastructure” deal. Trump needs to support the vaccine. Trump needs to say the Arizona audit is wrong. Trump needs to condemn January 6.
They worked real hard to get rid of Trump, but they sure seem to need him a lot.
I thought Trump already told them it was a piece of crap.
in a pig’s eye!
Trump tried to get dozens of projects thru and Congress told him to go pound sand. Back at ‘cha, Congress.
That would be a “no.”
Oh, my yes. No real comment, I just wanted to read that again.
Portman stands more of a chance winning the Ohio lottery.
President Trump will tell him and the other RINO cowards to go piss up a rope...and rightfully so.
Portman is Ohio’s answer to Romney. I’m thrilled he isn’t running again.
Ohio wants money, what a shock.
Remember the mayor from dallas that became a commerce secretary under obama? Ron Kirk
President Trump is not going to validate this totalitarian regime in any way, shape or form.
FU Sen. Portman!
Be advised per the latest in DC per OAN today: the DC communist democrats (the Pelosi - Schmuky criminal cabal) want legislation to give the DOJ oversight and control of individual state’s own election laws. DOJ must first approve of any new election laws. Puts the DOJ in position to prosecute the elected bodies of sovereign states.
IMO Portman is a four-flusher. Good riddance.
