Washington, DC – Congressman Adam Kinzinger (IL-16) released the following statement after being asked to serve on the House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol:
“For months, we have searched for answers and what process we should use to get them. For months, lies and conspiracy theories have been spread, threatening our self-governance. For months, I have said that the American people deserve transparency and truth on how and why thousands showed up to attack our democracy, and ultimately, what led to the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol Complex on January 6, 2021.
“Self-governance requires accountability and responsibility. My faith requires the same of me, truth is necessary for order, and that’s what I will do. Let me be clear, I’m a Republican dedicated to conservative values, but I swore an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution—and while this is not the position I expected to be in or sought out, when duty calls, I will always answer.
“This moment requires a serious, clear-eyed, non-partisan approach. We are duty-bound to conduct a full investigation on the worst attack on the Capitol since 1814 and to make sure it can never happen again.
“Today, I was asked by the Speaker to serve on the House Select Committee to Investigate January 6th and I humbly accepted. I will work diligently to ensure we get to the truth and hold those responsible for the attack fully accountable.”

If that happens you have to remember, it’s personal, not politics. If they are not primaried, then the Democrat has to be voted in.
Conservative Republicans must vote Democrat to remove people like this. There is no “Remove him from the Caucus”. RINOs will prevent that.

Kinzinger should be expelled from the GOP caucus for this, and removed from all of his other committee seats, or McCarthy is ceding to Nancy Pelosi the right to allocate GOP committee seats to the most “cooperative” GOP members.

The reaction from the GOP leadership should be the same: immediately strip this Benedict Arnold of any committee assignments (he currently sits on Committee on Energy and Commerce and Committee on Foreign Affairs), tell him to pay Pelosi a visit if he wants future committee memberships since he's so "humbled" to be receiving his assignments from her now. Expel him from any conservative and/or Republican strategy caucuses (though he seems to have already done that on his own, and attends RAT caucus events like Climate Solutions Caucus)
Basically isolate Kinzinger and Cheney from ANY "Republican" events and let them know they are NOT welcome to continue calling themselves "Republicans" as long as they go to bat for the enemy.

If we ran things the way the RATS did, we'd ram thru a special "investigative committee" on whether the election was stolen on a completely party-line vote to convene such a "committee", then appoint ONLY rabid AlwaysTrumpers who despise Joe Biden and have been saying for months that Biden is illegitimate and the election was stolen to "investigate" the results of the election. Any RAT who differed from that viewpoint wouldn't be allowed to join the "bipartisan" committee and we would reject any and all Democrats from being part of the "investigation". After doing so, we'd select one or two "Democrats" on our own, and make sure they crossed party lines to endorse Trump in 2020, and are also ALREADY on record saying there was election theft (for example, Rod Blagojevich is a "Trump-o-crat" who has been saying since Nov. 6th that Trump won the election and that Democrat election theft is a "time honored tradition", so he'd be allowed to join the "investigation".)
I'm sure the media and RATS would have no problems accepting the report of such a 'bipartisan' commission.
