Washington, DC – Congressman Adam Kinzinger (IL-16) released the following statement after being asked to serve on the House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol:
“For months, we have searched for answers and what process we should use to get them. For months, lies and conspiracy theories have been spread, threatening our self-governance. For months, I have said that the American people deserve transparency and truth on how and why thousands showed up to attack our democracy, and ultimately, what led to the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol Complex on January 6, 2021.
“Self-governance requires accountability and responsibility. My faith requires the same of me, truth is necessary for order, and that’s what I will do. Let me be clear, I’m a Republican dedicated to conservative values, but I swore an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution—and while this is not the position I expected to be in or sought out, when duty calls, I will always answer.
“This moment requires a serious, clear-eyed, non-partisan approach. We are duty-bound to conduct a full investigation on the worst attack on the Capitol since 1814 and to make sure it can never happen again.
“Today, I was asked by the Speaker to serve on the House Select Committee to Investigate January 6th and I humbly accepted. I will work diligently to ensure we get to the truth and hold those responsible for the attack fully accountable.”

Kinzinger needs to be run out of the party along with the worthless runt Cheney.
Anyone who ever thought Pelosi would even attempt fairness and pursue the truth of those events...is too dumb to breath.

She wants the conclusion “on the record”.
Kinzinger should be expelled from the GOP caucus for this, and removed from all of his other committee seats, or McCarthy is ceding to Nancy Pelosi the right to allocate GOP committee seats to the most “cooperative” GOP members.

There was no insurrection. Is half of Congress really as dumb as they seem? If they had been watching live what was happening that after and seeing who was waiting their turn to go into the Capitol and how the guards were calmly opening the doors escorting in people from all walks of life, they would not be making such idiots of themselves. Queen Bee Pelosi controls their actions. There was no insurrection at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.

Is it not possible under the rules to kick them both out of the caucus? If it is, then McCarthy has no excuse whatsoever.
Would Nancy Pelosi allow any back-stabbers who publicly commented on Biden’s clear cognitive decline to remain in her her caucus? Of course not.
Did they pan the camera down past his neck? I suspect not, otherwise they would have seen Nanzi’s arm up his a** working his jaw.
Pelosi is using Cheney and Kinzinger as “bipartisan window dressing” for her sham. If McCarthy doesn’t kick them out of the caucus and strip them of their committee assignments, then Pelosi might as well lead both caucuses.
Sounds like he thought a parade should have been held in front of him while he made this statement.
