Law enforcement officials in Massachusetts are using four-legged officers to sniff out COVID-19 much in the same way they look for heroin, explosives and other dangerous items.

The Bristol County Sheriff’s Office announced its coronavirus-detection K-9 team Thursday, saying it’s the first law enforcement group in the country to utilize dogs trained to detect the virus.

“Bristol County and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts have come so far since the pandemic started last year,” Bristol County Sheriff Thomas M. Hodgson said in a statement. “Today, festivals are happening, restaurants are full and concert venues are packed. We’ve made so much progress, and our new COVID-19 detection program is one way the people of Bristol County can stay ahead of the curve.”

They just retrained the explosive dogs. They can sniff out a gunshot.

So if you have Covid, you put out a certain aroma that dogs can smell? They’ve been trained to tell the difference in aromas between a common cold, flu or Covid? That don’t even make any sense.

Anything a "detection dog" does can be interpreted by the handler as a positive hit.

This is a means to declare people covid positive when they don't take the stupid test.

Hmm...something tells me that the dog handlers will know exactly who to check, and the dog will magically detect covid in the targeted people.

After that, I'm sure they will need to be quarantined.

This is a great idea, and beats expensive testing by a mile.

Dogs can be trained to sniff dead bodies, live people, drugs, explosives, even cancer.

"In the coming months, Huntah and Duke will also be trained in locating missing people."

If they are trained to hit on multiple things how does the handler know what its hitting on, drugs, covid, a missing person, explosives.

There is a reason drug dogs are not trained on explosives and vice-versa

Law enforcement sniffing out Covid?

LAW ENFORCEMENT?

Hey you Cubans wanting to come to America might want to rethink that plan.

This is gross, but dogs smell butts and crotches. Remember the Chicoms wanted to test for covid in the behind?

Are the dogs vaxxed?
Are they wearing masks?

Sniffing up Covid will infect them!

Hey, I know animals can get it. Bats, you know, and how about those zoos jabbing all their animals.

Better stock up on dog ventilators.

The good news is that dogs have been used to sniff out breast cancer in women. Might be experimental at this point. The bad news is that too many people here are unaware of the potential benefits. Who needs a doctor?

The cop aspect can be dealt with. Do not cut off your nose...

How about sniffing out the likely infected Obama/Biden/Harris refugees they’re shipping out all over the country?

The dogs will get Covid and die. That’s considered a positive test result. Bad for the dogs though.

My dogs get Ivermectin once a month for Heart Worm/Other parasites prevention.

If those dogs do also, perhaps they’ll be safe.
