You do know that the FBI has used non-gov't people to break into homes/businesses to find evidence while making it appear to be a simple burglary?

I had a strong discussion with my brother about that around election time, and he’s cleaned up his act now. Nothing is private any more.
You’re right; it is high time that Americans accept there is no political solution to this (conservatives haven’t won a single battle of the “culture war” since it started half a century ago). The government is undoing everything set up by the Founding Fathers in front of our eyes; we have no voice. Republocrats just put on political theater for us little people.
While they are going door-to-door trying to get you vaccinated: (since they are supposedly not gov’t employees) they will be wearing the DNC’s 2024 Campaign Shirts {Xi Jinping/Harris 2024}, they will be asking who you voted for in the last 10 elections and telling you that you must surrender your guns, computers and cellphones to them immediately.
Yeah, that will stop them because our justice system is so honest.
We were told it’s a conspiracy theory to think the government is spying on our private text messages. Now they’re going to correct “misinformation” in our private text messages.
Really? Because nothing has so far. They keep pushing us and pushing us closer to the boxcars, and we mutter in disbelief that if this keeps up they're going to straight out kill us - even as they are telling us they intend to murder us. (see tagline)

Well it seems the Democrats have found a way (temporarily) around the Constitutional restrictions. However I think a case could be made that the carriers could be defined as agents of the state if they are following orders issued by the government (acting without proper court orders to do so)and as such would be subject to the same restrictions as the government.
I am not an expert, just my opinion
And that is exactly why things like Facebook need to be stripped of their protections.
NewsMax was talking about this last night. The government can’t do it, but they can get corporate media to do it.
Censorship and propaganda by the request of the government, implemented by an allied third party. And even if they do not want to do it...they will because of the threat of losing their protections or even their licenses.
