A teacher who went into hiding because of protests and threats against him for showing a cartoon of the Prophet Muhammad has still not returned to his home or job.
Last month an independent inquiry into the incident at Batley Grammar School, West Yorkshire, found that the teacher had not meant to cause offence when the image was shown in his religious studies lesson.
The teacher was suspended in March.
Following an investigation, his suspension was lifted, but the West Yorkshire teacher, who continues to remain in hiding with his family, has refused to return to the school over fears for his life, MailOnline reports.
It is understood two other staff members, who were also suspended, have refused to return to the school after the suspension was lifted because of similar fears.
The grammar school is now using supply teachers to cover its RE department.Supporters of a teacher living in fear of his life following a row over a cartoon of the Prophet Muhammad have raised nearly £50,000 for him, his partner and their children.
A recent, anonymous donation pushed the fundraising for the Batley Grammar School teacher to almost £48,000.
