Everyone in North Korea is heartbroken over leader Kim Jong Un's apparent weight loss, said an unidentified resident of Pyongyang quoted on the country's tightly controlled state media, after watching recent video footage of Kim.
The rare public comment on Kim's health come after foreign analysts noted in early June that the autocratic leader, who is believed to be 37, appeared to have lost a noticeable amount of weight.
"Seeing respected general secretary (Kim Jong Un) looking emaciated breaks our people's heart so much," the man said in an interview aired by state broadcaster KRT on Friday.
"Everyone is saying that their tears welled up," he said.
In the clip, which Reuters could not independently verify, Pyongyang residents were seen watching a big screen on the street showing a concert attended by Kim and party officials after a plenary meeting of their Workers' Party of Korea (WPK).

Kim has been known to torture and order killed certain people who were inefficiently sorrowful on anniversary dates of his father’s death.
North Korea is heavy into performance grieving.
If this ‘weight loss’ is even really happening, my guess is
loving sister Kim Yo Jong may know something about it.
I can just see her ordering special Home Brew Tea, the kind with a wee tincture of arsenic or ricin.
If slowly doing away with an enemy is the goal, some have even used over the counter Eye Drops. drop or two in the morning coffee. The Russians know all about that sort of thing.

Yeah, you know I have no idea if he has a problem. The media used to worry about him being so heavy, now his citizens worry about him being less heavy. The photo I saw was low quality. I think to his citizens his size was the leader image, well fed, hale and hearty, as opposed to most of them, who are emaciated. He is the symbol of the ideal, and they have a hard time when they lose their leaders. But they get through it.
I saw no change whatsoever in the “before” and “after” pictures. What’s this all about? He’s still a fattie.
North Koreans need not worry. Dear leader Kim Jong Un finally found his anus and recently used it to pass 4000 kg of feces.
