The state has replaced ‘capital’ as the engine of lending. The past ways of ‘captial’, the ways of controlling spending via interest rates have been taken away, the state now backstops banks with protections, lawsuit caps, etc etc. The very nature of accountability has been taken away. Capital was once a private distribution in the highest form, the state has gladly taken on that measure, and we have given them the keys.
No real experience of capitalism for years....
Really well said and insightful.
Note that the teachers only indoctrinate them.
They never suggest the kids go spend a year or semester in a communist hole of a country, though.
They never actually bring in people, who lived under a communist regime and escaped, to tell the real truth about communism/socialism.
You know the name for a cat in Venezuela?
Speedy
Thanks to 35 years of massive legal and illegal immigration, a slight majority of USA young adults are non-white.
Non-white young Americans vote 75%-80% Democrat.
Young white Americans vote 50%-60% Republican - just like they voted in 1960.
What do you call a man who owns two cats in Venezuela? A vegetarian.
These are the people who love Bernie Sanders and are the hundreds of thousands that follow AOC on Twitter. They want Sweden but don’t think Venezuela is what they will get.
Capitalism can thrive with or without political freedom. Examples are the Roman Empire, the Third Reich and China today.
Hey Republicans the reason why the right wing loses most of the college crowd is they see what corporate America thinks of them with the massive wage suppression by out sourcing of white collar jobs to the third worlders and STEM jobs being given to foreign nationals with bogus H-1b visas. To them they think if this is capitalism then forget it. Better to get a safe government job.
Fascism does not end capitalism. It simply marries capitalism to the state.
Free market capitalism should end at the border. Unfortunately it does not.
“These views did not arrive in the heads of youth by chance. They were put there primarily by the government school system.”
Yes. By Miss Heather and Mr. Jeremy. By the schoolbooks written and reviewed by leftist college prof’s. By the NEA’s queer-hugging guidance.
All per The Frankfurt School’s plan of cultural Marxism, achieved over time by indoctrination of our children.
Of course, the ultimate source of all this bullshit is the king of lies, the great deceiver, the jealous one — Lucifer turned Satan.
breeding stupid humans from liberal parents to propaganda mills parading as schools.
More proof that conservative congressman needs to break up multinational monopolies with antitrust laws the way that president Theodore Roosevelt did to restore free trade capitalism.
Not much hope that they have the will to do so but without it fewer and fewer companies will control more and more of the marketplace.
I don’t think they know what either capitalism or socialism are.
In my Wild World of History VIP section called “Enduring Lessons on Life and Citizenship,” I have a 4-8 minute clip called “Socialism & Capitalism.” I think I teach it in a way no one has ever taught it before and it’s specifically geared to kids.
