The Supreme Court on Monday declined to take up the issue of whether the nation's schools must allow students to use the bathroom that match their gender identities.
The court declined, without comment, to hear the case of Gavin Grimm, who has been at the center of a long legal battle with the school board in Gloucester County, Virginia. Grimm was born female but identified as male after his freshman year in high school, legally changing his name and beginning hormone therapy.
The principal at first gave him permission to use the boys' bathroom, but the school board later adopted a policy saying restrooms were "limited to the corresponding biological genders."

Good for the School Board, that had to take courage.
But, soon enough the Virginia State Legislature will reverse that common sense decision for a Leftist ‘Inclusive” state wide dictate.

The American Civil Liberties Union celebrated the action.
“This is an incredible victory for Gavin and for transgender students around the country,” said Josh Block, a senior staff attorney." Grimm said he is glad the legal fight is over.

You are correct. The school was willing to provide privacy and accommodate the student, but that was not enough. Disgusting.
Good grief, does no one remember being a teen-aged boy? Sure, bring a "kitty" into the boys room, partake in the group showers in the boys locker room. Everyone will respect your privacy /s. The humiliation will come from the classmates. That environment is even more caustic than a FR vax thread.

No. The school board lost in a lower court ruling. And since the Supreme Court refused to hear the case, the lower court ruling stands.
I guess now you go into whichever shower room you want. So if you’re a guy and you feel like showering with the girls, go right ahead. The Supreme Court is okay with that.

Opposite. The 4th Circuit ruled against the school which had a policy to keep the perverts out of the bathrooms of the opposite sex.
Denying review keeps the 4th Circuit ruling in place.

Well, going back to my high school days, I would have LOVED to shower with the cheerleaders. But adults had more common sense then. I would have been arrested and expelled if I had tried such a thing.
