EUGENE, Ore. -- For the past week, the national anthem has played one time per evening at the U.S. Olympic track and field trials. On Saturday, the song happened to start while outspoken activist Gwen Berry was standing on the podium after receiving her bronze medal in the hammer throw.
While the music played, Berry placed her left hand on her hip and fidgeted. She took a quarter turn, so she was facing the stands, not the flag. Toward the end, she plucked up her black T-shirt with the words "Activist Athlete" emblazoned on the front, and draped it over her head.
"I feel like it was a setup, and they did it on purpose,'' Berry said of the timing of the anthem. "I was pissed, to be honest.''...

This has to be the first article about women’s hammer. It’s certainly the first article on the 3rd place finisher in women’s hammer.
This shitlib piece of filth doesn’t like America? Then don’t cash the checks.
The Olympics when a USA Athlete wins a medal especially if it’s a Gold Medal will be a crap show, it won’t just be the black power salute in the 1968 Olympics by Tommie Smith and John Carlos, it will be a case of who can show the most disrespect to the USA and the Anthem...
I know many USA Athletes will do the right thing, but a large number will show their ass and disrespect the country....
Kick it out of the competition. You go to the Olympics to represent your country, not to diss it.

Another Nancy Kerrigan possibility.
I have a strong feeling that the U.S. is going to have a record low medal count this time around. Festering resentment is a major distracter and energy sapper, and athletes need every microgram of energy and focus to gain the edge they need, not a chip on their shoulder to weigh them down.
I never thought I’d say it, but it wouldn’t disappointment me in the least if the U.S. ended up empty handed. We deserve it, and the world is already laughing at us.
Was that sitting down or standing up, you America-hating, mentally ill man-freak?
My ex-wife should have entered this event.
She once threw a hammer at me from clear across our yard and nearly hit me in the head!
Back in 1968 it was just the Black Power issue, this time around it’s Black Lives Matter, LGBTQ issues, and other SJW issues thrown in that all type of athletes from Western Countries that will be protesting....so I don’t think the protests will be limited to US athletes....
“ She should resign from the team if she can’t proudly represent her country.”
They should have dismissed her on the spot.
“It” should be ignored.
And all of this from the person who came in third. Did she not do better because she throws like a girl?
Stop waiting on your fifteen minutes of fame
‘Cause you’re not special
I’m not trying to rain on your parade
But you’re not special
Who hires/fires the US Olympic committee? These are the folks that need a boot in the ass and shown the door.
There should be absolutely NO OLYMPIC ATHLETES from the United States that is not a professed patriotic AMERICAN first and an athlete second.
Stand up for your rules and standards or be raped by the liberal progressive post~modernists!
New York Islanders hockey fans were a classy surprise.
It's the same Communist Movement crap...

Below are the names and photos of 35 Police Officers who were murdered by the Black Panthers and the subsequent Black Liberation Army in the 60s, 70s and 80s [click link for list and details].
The Black Liberation Army was an organization that grew out of the Black Panther Party, composed of former Black Panther Party members, operating from about 1971-1980. Another two police officers on the list were murdered by the Weather Underground, a domestic terrorist group with ties to the Black Liberation Army.
Despite this readily available information, today the internet was full of articles criticizing those who were upset by Beyonces Super Bowl Halftime performance, and questioning how anyone could be upset over a woman affirming her blackness. Their analysis couldnt have been more off.
We have no issues with someone affirming their blackness or any other identity they want to affirm. We do take issue when people pay homage to a group that used terrorism and violence to promote racism and revolutionary socialism a group that murdered dozens of police officers in cold blood.
As you scroll through the list of officers below, look at their photos and read their stories. Among these officers are black men and white men. Rookies and veterans from across the country. Most were killed in unprovoked attacks and ambushes. They all left behind families .
Perhaps Beyonce, someone from the NFL, and someone representing CBS, could read through this list and tell us if they still stand by their decision to honor the Black Panthers during the Super Bowl. Then perhaps they could explain their answers to the surviving wives and children of these fallen officers. ...
